Steve's Going Away Party

On Easter Sunday, headed over to Steve's house for his going-away party. It was good. We ate food, hung out with friends and had a pretty good time. It's weird that Steve is leaving for so long- but ah, that's life. If I just think about it - when he comes back, I'll be a month away from graduating from Kendall. That is amazing! :)

Winter Sunset

Saturday, Brett and I slept in pretty late. Then we went to visit my Dad at the home show which was at Trillum. That was boring - but good to see my Dad. We went to Culver's afterwards and I got a delicious grilled cheeeese. Mmm. We went to Hobby Lobby to look around and waste some time and ended up going over to Foot Locker. We went and looked around the mall after that. I found the cell phone I want - it's from Verizon. We're so strapped for cash that I shouldn't spend my economic stimulus money on absolute junk I don't need - but I really want to. I should be spending that money on upcoming things for school, to pay off Brett's teeth - but he's not. He's spending his on tattoos so I'm going to spend mine on things I want too. A new iPod, new Canon camera and a new cell phone. So there! After shopping and looking around, we went to see Horton Hears a Who at the Grand Haven 9. It was a good movie. After that, we went down to the beach to see the sunset. It was freezing cold outside, but we got some pretty nice pictures. After that, we went to Brett's parents and watched Flushed Away with them. We went home, I stayed up and uploaded pictures and went to bed.

Skelletones and Grand Coney

Friday was a great day. I got out of work and got an awesome car wash. Then I headed out to Grand Haven to let Maggie out because Rick and Colleen weren't going to be around. I let her out, stole some wheat saltines and headed down Lake Michigan Ave. to Grand Rapids. I got to Skelletones and got in for free (I love being a wife!) and hung out for a little bit. Brett left with the boys to go to Premier and they kind of left me behind and I felt like a tool kind of, just sitting there, so I went for a walk. It was gorgeous outside in Grand Rapids. All of the snow was melted, the wind was warm, I was wearing my new dark jeans, black peacoat jacket with black pointy flats and my hair freshly colored. I felt proud looking in the windows at myself, for once. I saw Kara on the way down there. I gave her a hug - I honestly love that girl.

Douglas J Aveda Institute

I went to Grand Rapids last night to the Douglas J. Aveda Institute to get my hair highlighted by Kara. It was amazing. First of all, walking into the place felt a million miles away from Muskegon. I felt like I was in Chicago or something. It was awesome. Everything smelled amazing. She foiled my hair with highlights and then toned it to make it "honey blonde" and it looks gorgeous. She straightened my hair for me and honestly, my hair looks so amazing. I'm BLONDE again. I will go back to her until I can't anymore and will have to have her tell me how she did all of it so that I can continue to get my hair done like this. I love it. It was "complimentary" because it was my first-time! So I bought some straightening balm from them. It doesn't smell that good though - I'll have to go back someday and get whatever she put in my hair that makes it smell so freaking amazing. Blah! I love it. It was so good to see her too - I honestly love that girl.

(LOVE IT!)
