John Ball Zoo

This past weekend was amazing. Friday night, Brett and I scootered out to Scribs on Apple Avenue and ate some pizza. We laughed the whole way home at red-necks in Muskegon who have broke-down school buses in their front yards. We went home and Brett watched TV shows while I played Earthbound all night. I love that game.

Saturday, Brett and I decided to ride our scooters out to Grand Rapids. It was gorgeous outside and the weather was perfect. It only took about an hour and a half to get there. We drove over to Peter's house and met up with him. We all got some ice-cream and then let Peter ride Brett's scooter while I rode on the back of mine with Brett. It was an absolute blast. I kept looking back at Peter to see if he was with us and my hair blew backwards. I felt alive. Being in Grand Rapids, being with Brett and Peter, riding scooters around. It felt like last year again. We headed back to Peter's when we saw storm clouds but we didn't have a storm. Afterwards, we decided it was too cold and we were too tired to ride scooters home. So we went to IHOP with everybody and it was a blast. Spitwads were the highlight of the evening - Tim taught me how to do them amazingly. I loveeee it. Peter was being tortured. Afterwards, we all went to Peter's house and danced with the strobe light and shot off air soft guns. Oh how I love my friends... at around 3:00 am, Brett and I scootered over to Nick's house to stay the night in the guest bedroom. We woke up the next morning and scootered over to Big Boy. Peter and Nick met us over there to eat some breakfast.

Afterwards, we went to Peters and headed out to John Ball Zoo. A lot of the animals were inside still because it was cold, but it was great. I loved the spider monkeys. They were my favorite. Brett loved the snow leopards the most. We headed back to Peter's so we could start our journey home. It was torturous. On the ride from Peter's to Casnovia, it was freezing cold, dark gray and the wind was unbelievable. We could only go 20 mph at some points because it was so freezing cold. We stopped to this gas station to get some hot chocolate and steamers and just couldn't believe how freezing it was. We got back on our scooters to head home- and finalllly made it back. We were honestly numb. Haha. I love our scooters, our friends, our lives. Everything will be so much more fun when we live in Grand Rapids and I'm back at Kendall.

Jen and Ryan's Wedding!

Jen's wedding was last weekend and it was beautiful. It was a gorgeous May day. Everything turned out perfect. We got our hair done in the morning, got ready at the church, took pictures with the photographer, and the ceremony began and it was amazing! I loved every second of it All of the bridesmaids looked adorable, Jen looked beautiful. Jen & Ryan looked so happy. It was amazing to see Brett after a long weekend too. We had a lot of fun dancing at the wedding. This old lady came up to us and said "You two are so cute! Are you married?" and laughed and said yes. We are married. It's a wonderful thing.

Jen's Rehearsal and Dinner

Saturday, we all woke up at Jen's place. We got ready and headed out to their reception hall, to help set up decorations and get ready for the reception. Their wedding is being held at a camp in Grand Rapids, right on the lake with huge windows overlooking it. It is seriously such a gorgeous spot for a wedding. We got a lot done today and her parents helped finish the rest, so we could all go home and get ready. Brett stopped by the hall to show me what clothes he bought for the wedding reception tomorrow. He is so cute; I love him to death!

We all went home and got ready, showered, and what not. I laid down in their tub because they had such amazing water pressure and it felt so amazing to just lay down and let it run on my head. Haha; especially since last night was crazy. Then we headed over to the chapel for rehearsal. It went really well and painless! The music is going to be so great for the wedding.

Afterwards, the rehearsal dinner was held at Jen's aunt's. It was delicious and awesome; I loved being there for her. After dinner, we all went to see Made of Honor, and went home to go to sleep for the big day tomorrow!

Jen's Bachelorette Party

Friday night was Jen's bachelorette party! We started at her aunt's amazing house where we played a couple of games, ate some snacks and Jen opened all of her gifts! Afterwards, we all headed to Chili's to eat dinner, and to drink a bunch of girly drinks! It was so much fun; I spent way too much money. We all took "superman" shots; it was the craziest shot ever. I loveeeeed hanging out with the girls; especially catching up with Kaleigh. It's been forever and it felt like we picked right up where we had left off a year and a half ago.

After Chili's, we all went downtown Grand Rapids to try and find a nightclub so we could all go dancing. We ended up going to Diversions which is a gay bar, right across the street from Kendall College of Art! It was insanely fun; at first we were like the only people downstairs dancing, but it was so fun nevertheless! More people started to show up and these gay guys showed up and started dancing with us (like half dressed!) It was so insane, us girls didn't know what to do, except dance and just laugh our heads off. It was so fun; I loved it.

Afterwards, we got double cheeseburgers at McDonald's, baahaha. Then went back home to Jen's and fell asleep. Such a great night!
