I return after a very much enjoyed, long weekend away! It was so great to sleep in, lounge around, spend a lot of time with family and friends and to get our Christmas decorations up. It doesn't at all feel like Christmas-time! We don't have snow yet (I'm not complaining!) and the temperature today was 41 - which is pretty warm for us at the end of November!

I have been hoarding clothes in my closet! Kate from Postcards From sent me this dress a while back to style up and I'm finally getting to it! I absolutely love this floral print! It's so pretty and I thought it paired well with my new boots from Threadsence! I would wear this outfit constantly if I could! I'm so predictable with my style - I have to force myself to not wear floral print, lace up boots and a chunky circle scarf lately!

In big news, but completely unofficial, we have plans and put down money to build a house! We're reserving the lot right now for 6-months. Next April, if everything goes according to plan, we'll meet with an architect and a designer to pick out all of our colors and cabinets and what not. Then, next May, our builder will "dig" our hole and we'll be golden from there! We have a lot to do in the meantime and we have to work on saving a lot of money, but I'm so excited about the future. The house is amazing and the neighborhood is just wonderful. Let's cross our fingers!

I have another outfit post, a weekend post, a fun giveaway and a vlog coming up this week! For Christmas, I really want an HD video camera! I'd love to start playing around more with videos and video editing. This video here really inspired me to start teaching myself more about how I can create videos like this for my blog! It's such a great way to showcase your favorite music, outfit and surroundings all into one post. Well, have a great week everyone!

That's wonderful news about the new house! We are waiting with bated breath about an offer we just put in for a home last night. I love the idea of creating a home of one's own. Cute skirt, too!

Those boots are so cute! I love this whole outfit, my favorite look is tights and boots! :)
Aw T that is SUCH exciting news about the house, how dreamy to be able to do whatever you like and have a say in every single decision!
Absolutely adore this outfit, the boots are dreamy and the dress is super cute, love florals in winter.
Still SO gutted I didn't get to see you guys at the Central Park bloggers meet up back in September by the way. Sure you had a swell time, I got absolutely lost and ended up just roaming around the lake until sunset. Woops! x
Tieka the dress looks perfect on you, Im so glad that you like it - and wear it so well! I knew you would. This outfit so so so good. I cant believe how amazing those boots are - sassy! I love them heaps. Congratsssss about the new house. How exciting - seriously!! I feel like I am moving into a new house, except im just moving back home into my parents house - but still, I am so excited to decorate my old room again! hehe. Have a great week! x
The thing is, I cannot get sick of you wearing concoctions like this. The dirty, grungy, booted-up florals look suits you SO well, I don't think it could ever get tiresome. I love your outfit adventures but I think comfort bursts through everything & I enjoy these outfits the most because you love them the most. Bravo.
Excellent news about the house! What a dream come true, to build a house exactly how you want it. You'll definitely have to keep all your readers filled in!
I can't believe you don't have snow in Michigan yet, but weve already had snow here in Vancouver!! I'm heading to Michigan for the first time next weekend to visit my bf's brother in Ann Arbor. Hopefully I don't bring the snow with me!
Can't believe you guys will be building a house, that is amazing news! You are on top of the world girlie :)
Those boots are fabulous! I want a pair! Love the floral too:) You are definitely working it for the winter!
First, such a cute outfit...you make it look easy!!
Second, hire me to design you a house! I'll even learn all Michigan's building codes! Haha.
Now you've got me imagining what a Tieka house would look like...

The dress is so perfect with those boots! I love how your scarf matches the cardigan - at first I just thought it was a cowl neck cardigan! Yay for the house! There is nothing like having a place you can paint and decorate and set up just how you like with, knowing you're not going to have to move and it's all yours!
Congrats with the house and good luck! Great pictures!
