Old town

A couple of weekends ago, I went to visit my darling friend, Andrea, in Lansing! We had a little sleepover, chatted in bed, woke up to go shopping and grab lunch - exactly what we do best! I love staying at her place. It's just so perfect - an urban loft setting with no cat hair. Ugh, I envy that girl. We headed over to Urban Outfitters and I bought a couple of things! We also headed over to Forever 21, where I performed more damage. I actually bought some winter items though instead of spring which is nice because we still have like... 2 more months of harsh winter!

I felt like going casual for a day out shopping. Plus, it has been so cold lately that I'm alway stuck in an oversized cardigan. This one was only $2 thrifted! I really need to head over to Goodwill and do some more thrifting this upcoming weekend. I've been buying so many items for spring.. ugh, I cannot wait. The transitional seasons are the best time to style up outfits!

(jean shorts - urban outfitters | top, cardigan - thrifted
tights - target | jeffrey campbell lace wedge heel - c/o lulu*s)

So, I scored $80 worth of services from our local Douglas J. Aveda institute today for only $40 via Groupon! I was so excited. I'm going to save it until I get down to my half way weight loss goal - which is really only 5 pounds away. As soon as I get there, I'm going to treat myself to an elemental nature facial, haircut and style and brow wax. I've never had a facial before and they give you all sorts of massages to go along with it. It's definitely making me work harder at getting to my goal!

The last photo is my favorite! You two are too cute. Shopping with girlfriends is truly more fun than by yourself. It's great to have someone around to make sure stuff fits right and look good:)

Late night chats with great friends... sounds like a great song. I think that this band, Circle Maybe (maybe you've heard of them?) should write a song about it. :)

So cute! The black top you're wearing reminds me of my mom for some reason. I think she wore something like that when I was a kid, but obviously you've styled it so much better than she did hehe :) I adore your casual outfits because they're still so chic! That green cardigan was such a wonderful find and for $2?! Ah! You and Andrea are so cute hehe!

I really like the darker tones in this outfit contrasted with the tan boots, which are gorgeous by the way. Love the last picture of the pair of you! I've never had a facial either, you'll have to tell us what it's like.

Those boots are fantastic! I think that rewarding yourself with a day at the spa is such awesome incentive for reaching your goal. I've had two facials, and I was really surprised at how they went. I wish someone had told me beforehand, but it's not all soothing music and warm lotion! At one point, they will literally dig their fingers into your face to clear your pores out. It's good to get done, but man can it hurt! Don't worry though--it's worth it. Good luck!

Haha, love the last photo. & Groupon is a saviour! I keep on missing all the best deals though, the one day I went computer free was the day I missed a £50 American Apparel voucher for £25. How that would've helped me! Sod's law, that is. I love this outfit though, girl. That cardigan is such a thrift goldmine find! & I'm in love with those boots, still. If evereverEVER you want to get rid of them, you know where I am ;]
