Weeping willow

Green grass! Eeee! I love this weeping willow tree because it's finally perking up and turning green! I'm still so excited that everything is coming back to life. I still feel a little blah though, like I'm still in winter mode. The fact that May is next week totally freaks me out. For some reason, May is usually my busiest month ever. There are just so many local events, festivities and things planned to do. Plus, my amazing friend Veronika from Tick Tock Vintage is visiting at the end of the month. I can't wait!

Just a few things I wanted to point out quick! I did an interview with Style Clone where you can see how to "shop" my outfit from my On the Bayou post! There is also an event happening in Chicago during Memorial Day (I won't be able to attend unfortunately!) but they have a big market full of vintage clothing, furnishings and so much more. Plus, they are having a blogger breakfast and what not. You can read more about the event here! I think that's all I had lingering in my inbox to talk to you guys about...

I received such a lovely package from my sponsor and dear friend, Caitlin from To Be Determined. She sent me this darling vintage sheer floral print top and threw in a couple of cute bows! I love receiving packages that are just cute in general; it always makes my day. Be sure to head over to her shop to check out her amazing spring items! She's a girl after my own heart with all of her floral items. Plus, if you use the code "springpotential", you can receive 15% off! Hurry though, the offer ends at the end of this month!

Outfit details:
Vintage floral top c/o To Be Determined
Forever 21 belt
Urban Outfitters t-strap heels

Such a lovely spring time blouse! I've been looking for romantic florals like this, and vintage always seems to have the perfect patterns. I can't believe how long your hair is getting, too! Are you growing it longer?

Your blog always has such gorgeous photos! I feel like I can hear the wind rustling in the grasses and trees while looking at these. The floral top looks great with those shorts, and I like your T-straps too!

(Ugh, sorry that I created an annoying "comment deleted" message by deleting the earlier version of this comment that I posted! I didn't know that would happen.)

Hi Tieka, you look cute. I really like the cognac / grey color pairing. I'm waiting for a green light to go ahead. Thanks for shooting that email back so promptly. And I realize that it is the absolute worst form ever, but I want to invite you to look at my blog and "follow" my style journey. Thank you, your encouragement would mean the world to me.

Kind of a strange comment, but the fit of those shorts is wonderful on you! I think people sometimes overlook fit as literally one of the most important qualities about an item (ie. if I tried on some lightweight AA shorts my bum would look like a small lumpy boulder, hahaha). But you look great! Your fits are always spot on. :)

That blouse is PERFECT! & I love the matching socks/shoes with the shorts & belt. This is all just perfection.

This outfit is cute in theory, but the execution is wayyyy off. Maybe it is your body type, but the top makes your torso look incredibly stumpy and the shorts/socks combo makes your legs look short as well. You should do a do-over on this one for sure.

I think that top was made for you, it the type of colors that you seem to wear a lot of and it is floral!

I just got your email and I think I would like to see your side of the mitten later in the Summer so I will let you guys know and maybe we can do something? I have only been to GR in the Winter haha.

Oooh, I love whispy, willow trees. There is a tree like that around here, I don't even know if it's a willow, but I like to pretend it is. That was a random thought. Trees are a big deal around here I guess.

I love your blouse, it looks so pretty with those shorts!
