Meadows of yellow

80 degrees, sunshine, a field of pretty yellow flowers... what else could a girl want, right? Today was lovely. Our town is finally starting to perk up because tourist season is basically here! I took a drive around Lake Michigan (a typical thing to do in our town) and there were so many people out. Eee, I'm so in love with this time of year. Gorgeous flowers... and last night there was a crazy thunderstorm happening. Love it.

I was so excited when we spotted this gorgeous field of yellow flowers on my favorite back country road. I've taken so many photos on this road. I think this is actually a pumpkin field! I've never seen so many flowers just stretch for so long! It was crazy. I absolutely loved running through the rows and taking photos!

I adore this floral print skirt from Francesca's Collections. I've worn it several times since I received it. It's just so easy to throw on and style! Plus, it goes amazing with my coral crush lipstick I've been loving lately. I wear it constantly.

I have an insanely busy week ahead of me! I'll be announcing something really fun on the blog tonight. Some of you already know though! I have something to do every night this week and then I have to get ready for the weekend! I'm so excited for Memorial Day weekend, to see Andrea, to have Veronika stay, to see Tall Ships play their last show, to be with friends... it's going to be a good one.

i love those kinds of fields too; i actually had my high school senior pictures taken in one just like that a few years ago.

also, i just wanted to point out that you look like an off duty ballerina :) the black shirt looks like a leotard and then with the skirt and the hat, and your black slippers, you look like you should be doing pirouettes across the field :)

Hi Tieka,
I'm Jem, I live in Canberra, Australia just wanted to stop by and tell you that I love your blog. I was stuck in bed sick on the weekend and stumbled across your wonderful blog. I ended up spending four hours reading through your posts starting from your first one. Your journey of weight loss, love and style was heart warming and inspirational. I adore your style. Keep up the good work.
Love, Jem
