Phew, beware, this is a bummer post! It's 57 degrees here today and freeeeezing. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in town closed down. We just bought a new lens for my camera and it made our photos super bad quality! We're having issues with getting pre-approved for a mortgage on a house we absolutely love. I'm doing so terrible on my diet. I just received new contact lenses after an eye appointment and they are so blurry and I can't see a thing! Wah wah wah. Everyday can't be peachy, right? At least there is a cute puppy in the background of my photos!
On a good note, I received my Warby Parker package today! I'm trying out five pairs of their glasses to see which ones I like. I already decided on these within the first five minutes. I love them! I can't wait to get them in a prescription. I haven't had really nice glasses since 8th grade! I sometimes wear fake glasses, but it'll be nice to have real ones for days my eyes don't feel like wearing contacts!
I've been super lazy with everything lately. Outfits, dieting, exercising, getting work done. I think it's the cold, gray weather, but sometimes I just wonder if I'm using anything I can as an excuse! I can't believe this post was a year ago... so hot outside and look at those legs! I really need to start training for the 5k that's at the end of July... and start dieting again! It's so easy to get off track!

haha, all these people commenting that they wish they had bad eyesight so they could wear glasses kill me! They have no clue what it's like to HAVE to wear them! The grass is always greener I guess. Like the weather for instance- it may be cold up there but in FL it's HOT- like, so hot we have wildfires and smoke suffocating everyone, so it's hazy and stinky, and you sweat the minute you walk outside.

I don't understand why anyone would wish for poor eyesight so they can have glasses. It's like wishing your leg was crippled so you can get a cute cane. My glasses are cute and I do like them, but I find those comments to be really, really stupid!

I would take 57 degrees for the weather we have in NYC. It's so humid, rainy, sticky, murky, foggy, and DISGUSTING! You feel very unsanitary :/
Love those glasses. Which ones are they? I got my Warby Parker try-ons forever ago and picked out the Prestons, but I have been waiting until I reach my weight loss goal until I order them. Three months later...
So, yeah, I feel you on some of these frustrations. I know I need to get back on the diet. I know I need to get better at working out, so why can't I force myself to do it?? My most recent theory is that this is all a part of becoming an adult. I think everyone struggles with motivation all the time, but as you mature the motivated side of you starts winning a lot more. Or at least that's what I'm hoping, haha.
I feel ya kid. Same weather here in Chicago. It's hard to get motivated for anything when the weather won't make up its mind! You'll be fine for the 5k btw. I'm training for the 1/2 marathon in Aug, and have barely started! I think I am relying too much on my past running experiences to magically get me though this race! Whats your pace? Do you have a goal time. I think the idea of setting a PR really helps. I hope to do the 1/2 in under 2 hours... which is doable...if the weather clears up...so I can train!

The cool weather has been driving me crazy, too! We had such a long winter, and it's amazing to think that just a couple of months ago I would have jumped for joy at temps in the 60s, but now I just want it to get in the 80s and stay there.
