Last night marked our 5th Annual Christmas Party! I can't believe we've had five of these parties since Brett and I have been married! I really had no intention of starting an annual holiday party, but it just happened... and I'm so glad it did. It's always fun to have all of our friends get together every year and do the traditional food, white elephant game and group picture.
The white elephant gift exchange is always my favorite. Brett received a can of frosting and I received a "My Little Pony" set. Guess what's going back into the holiday exchange next year? Yeah, we keep all of our horrible gifts for the next year. Haha! There has been this pickle catapult going around since the very beginning. So funny!
My best friend, Jen, and I wore the same outfit... yet opposite! It was totally unplanned too! I wore a red dress with green tights, and she wore a green dress with red tights! I was cracking up. Especially because she's my best friend and we complete each other. It just makes sense, right?
As always, I adore my good friends. One of my biggest new year's resolutions is to only surround myself with the best people. The friends who are the most kind, passionate, and who mutually care about the relationship as much as you do. It's not worth wasting your time on people who don't make an effort back, and I'm definitely realizing this more as I get older. Life is too short to not be with the people who want to be with you and spend time with you! Love the ones who love you back.

I really wanted to start an annual party this year but with it being the end of the semester it was just too difficult. We do the elephant game with my family but we call it Yankee Swap. For a couple years we have a huge fur coat and a scuba suit going around!

Your pictures are so cute! We had our holiday party this weekend as well (it was our 3rd) and we did white elephant for the first time. We came out of the game with a Snuggie and Gas-X haha! Now that we've started playing, we're definitely going to keep that tradition going, it was so much fun!!
