Level K

This post is going to be short and sweet. First, because... these pictures didn't work out in my favor. I've been taking a lot of my own outfit shots lately (without Brett) because our weekends have somehow magically disappeared over the past month. By the time I get home, it's still dark outside so I took these, these and these photos by myself. The photos just aren't as magical as they are when Brett takes them!

I liked this outfit, but I would do a few things different. Note to self: don't pair a tee-shirt under a tighter cardigan. I hate those lumpy arm wrinkles! They are my biggest pet peeve ever. And I would have paired brass jewelry with this instead of silver. I don't know why... maybe just another pet peeve of mine. But I am smitten with this skirt and my new moccasins. I plan on taking some major photos this weekend so I don't have to do another outfit shoot without Brett ever again. Ever!

Outfit details:
H&M cardigan
Forever 21 top
Dash to Class skirt c/o ModCloth
Target tights
Draping Silver bracelet c/o Shop Mamie
Minnetonka moccasins

Get to grand rapids!!! I'm taking over as photographer. I used to work for a wedding photographer in royal oak and I miss shooting! Also, your shoes are super super cute.

Oh geez you sound like me, haha! Yay the mocs made their debut! cuuuute :) I have been taking my own pics too and they are BAD. Plus people stare so I made strange faces, ugh.

I do love the skirt, winter never came so I am just ready for bright flats and pretty skirts like this!

I absolutely love this combo! The top and skirt are just so cute, and moccasins are just the comfiest shoes ever right? I practically live in mine and just bought some ankle boots too! Ahh I cannot wait till daylight savings when I can get my boyfriend to take my shots again - I take forever when I have the tripod haha!

Tieks, you're an absolute doll & quite the photographer. I had no idea that you shot Rosy Mound yourself, what beautiful photos. And honestly?! I think these ones are absolutely lovely as well. But I know what you mean, in the beginning I did lots of my own photos, but now really enjoy doing them with Martin.

AND, this outfit?? It's so darling - I'm smitten with your sweet, sweet shoes, and gorgeous mixed prints + earthy hues. This outfit MUST be re-created by me this weekend. Love your style, beautiful girl. xo V

The whole tripod/timer thing can be SO frustrating, but once I got used to it, I became frustrated when my husband tried to take my photos. Guess it's all about your "system" :)

You look gorgeous! I love how pink your nose it. Seriously adorable. And it makes me think of the crispness of winter and coming inside and getting warm with a cup of tea. Sigh. I miss winter....

I think this outfit totally rocks! I never would have noticed the silver + brass jewelry if you hadn't mentioned it (but yes, that is a pet peeve of mine too). That shirt is so adorable!! To bad it gives you scrunchy sleeves!

Well, you can still take great pictures even without Brett's help :) I wish I had a remote! You look darling.

Aw, so this proves that Brett and you belong together, even when it comes to photography :) But honestly your self-taken outfit pics still look so much better than mine, I really need to work on my photo skills... Thanks for the motovation! ;)
The shirt and skirt are so cute, I love the birdcage print! And the moccasins <re so lovely too. But the cutest thing about the pics is your red nose :) You are so brave taking outfit shots without a coat in the cold!

I think you did a wonderful job on your photos! I take my own photos everyday. I'd love to have someone else do mine for me because then I could have lots of different angles! I've been obsessed with brass/gold jewelry forever lately. For some reason silver is slowly starting to fade out in my taste! I love your skirt and new moccs too! They're so cute!
