Ah, the railroad tracks. It's so silly how this is such a big part of my life. Maybe I'm just sentimental, but this is one of the things I'm going to miss most about living here. It's not just because they are railroad tracks. There are railroad tracks everywhere you go. These are the railroad tracks. The tracks I took my very first outfit photos on, the tracks that have been a big part of this blog. It's one of those things where I'll drive past them every time I'm back in our town. I have such a hard time saying goodbye to things, as excited as I am for the future. I just went through some really amazing, major life changes while living here and this place defines me a bit. It housed the three best years of my life (so far). Anyway... here is every single outfit photo I've taken on these tracks for the past 2+ years!

*my first outfit post ever!

The stories behind these photos and where I was at in my life means so much. Just in these photos alone, I took my very first outfit shots, I took my photos that won me Chictopia Style Icon, where I posed with friends before my first "fashion show", when I hosted the Dove Oscar party, when I collaborated with ModCloth on their spring fever blogger challenge, when I got my wisdom teeth out and my face was puffy, when I bought my Buddy scooter and was featured in their ad campaigns, when I guest posted for Jen Loves Kev when she had Rowan, where I was part of bloggers uniting with the Ralph Lauren Pink Pony fund to help fight cancer, when I got home and Brett surprised me with a Valentine's day fondue dinner, Easter Sunday, when I worked with Loft for breast cancer awareness and finally my collaboration with ModCloth for Valentine's Day. Big deals, right?! ♥

It really is the little things in life, isn't it? I'm the same way with things. I get so sentimental. I love to listen to songs that remind me of fun times I've had, and once I've done something once (i.e. gone to a certain restaurant when I visit a friend) I want to do it every. single. time.
Just remember that now you'll get to make new memories in new places. You'll get there. :)
Wow, what a fun little retrospective! It was fun reading this and watching your style evolve in fast motion :) I'll miss seeing outfit posts on these tracks, but I just know you'll find some awesome spots in GR to make your own <3

Aww walking down memory lane already? :) Love these railroad tracks too. I still have yet to find one where I can take pictures at here in SoCal. I love how much you've grown since your very first outfit post! I love all these posts. Hehe I remember those boyfriend jeans--you kept trying to distress them yourself with rocks and a skateboard. I'm going to miss these tracks but I'm so excited for the new adventures to come<3 I love you Tieka!

this was such a great read. i'm a sentimental person as well, and it's a time & place where all these unexpected wonderful things happened and saying goodbye will be bittersweet. really though, great great post. the wonderful thing about it is that it tells your story to everyone in pictures and you'll always have them around. good luck with all your future endeavors and i'm excited to see what's up next on your blog~
