U-Pick blueberries

Today was the perfect day for some blueberry picking. I headed out west with Eric on my favorite back country road and we came across the Ven Roy Blueberries. It was such a cute little place for u-pick blueberries. I walked up to the stand and this adorable old man explained how you tied the bucket around your waist and sent us off into the fields. We were allowed to eat as many as we could while we were out there and bring as many as we wanted back. We ended up with two pounds of blueberries for only three dollars! Plus, it was perfect weather to enjoy being outside.

I received this amazing skirt from Corilynn. I initially thought I would style this skirt to our annual Coast Guard festival or a nautical event along Lake Michigan , but when I thought about going to pick blueberries... this skirt seemed perfect. Cori is an amazing designer who creates seriously adorable skirts with flawless construction. This skirt maintained its silhouette all the while I romped around the fields. Her chevron skirt is next on my list!

This arrow necklace is from Creature Comfort. Breyell, the girl behind Creature Comfort, is so sweet and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to style up one of her pieces. One of my favorite parts about blogging is the amazing people I get to work with and meet, even if it is just through the internet. I've made some seriously strong connections from people who have reached out over the past few years. It honestly blows me away every day.

If you're ever in the Coopersville area and want to pick your own blueberries, Ven Roy's is the place to come! It opened in 1936 and has been family-owned ever since. Story goes that the crops were struggling until a neighbor of theirs told them that blueberries thrived in the soil. So, they've been planting blueberries ever since and they are delicious. Supposedly Eric makes the best cheesecakes, so I'm expecting a blueberry one soon!

Aw, looks like y'all had a blast! I can't believe the berries were that cheap; the pick-your-own by my house is super expensive, which sucks.

I absolutely adore that skirt! I've been into longer lengths these days, and the stripes are just perfect.

Oooh, I love blueberries, and just fruit picking in general. I don't know why I reserve fruit picking for the autumn, but that needs to change this summer! Also, your skirt is lovely!

I love the u-pick berry places! I'm thinking my boyfriend and I will have to go find a few and pick some berries.
I love your outfit! You look beautiful. Those Corilynn skirts are so gorgeous. I've been wanting one for a while, but they're way out of my budget range, so I was really excited to find a skirt that reminded me of this one at the thrift store the other day.
All of your pictures are beautiful, as usual!

WE have our own little blueberry patch in our yard like 20 to 25 of them and they are absolutely delicious. Can't wait for the next year and hopefully they will produce more. The birds love to eat them so we have to kind of race to get it first before they do. hehehe.. :) You look lovely and that skirt I so love. :)
