Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 + Giveaway!

With my collaboration with Adobe Photoshop Elements, I had the chance to try out and preview the new Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, which will be out very soon! I absolutely love their guided edits, and my favorite feature is their Depth of Field Edit. You can add a depth of field to your photos without being a photography whiz. It's an easy two-step process. Blur and focus. Here are some examples from using this effect. I love using it for focusing on a certain object - like in these cases, a pumpkin or a leaf. (You didn't think I'd leave out autumn in this post, did you? ;))

Closed Wednesday, October 10th!

Now for the fun and exciting part… YOU can enter for a chance to win!

Three readers will win their own copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 11. To enter, simply comment with your name and what you'd use Elements for! Outfit photos? Family photos? Scenery? You name it. This giveaway will be open until Wednesday, October 10th. Winners will be announced shortly after! Good luck!

This is my last post in my collaboration with Adobe Photoshop Elements. You can read all of my previous posts - Creating Collages and Clipping Masks, Adding a Vintage Effect, Creating an Autumn Effect and Making your own DIY Polaroid. Be sure to follow PSE on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest. And I just want to finally thank Adobe for this amazing opportunity. I've had such a fun summer collaborating with them!

  64. Dana here! I've recently been looking into a editing program to use on my photos. So needless to say I am in love with this giveaway. Here's to hoping I have lots of luck.

    I'd use pse 11 to edit blog photos on lifestyle, outfits, DIY's and my home, the beautiful Outer Banks (though this place needs very little editing). I'd also use it to create ads for an event I host every spring that raises awareness for a rare genetic disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). I started hosting this event a year ago when my sweet nephew, Logan, passed away from this disease.

  127. Hey Tieka,

    This is a so good opportunity for me to get rid of some shyness and to finally tell you that I really love your vintage and romantic style. It's very inspiring, and as I was discovering your blog a few weeks ago, and reading a little more about you everyday, I couldn't do anything but liking the person you let people know through Selective Potential.

    As a graphic designer (me too: it also has a part in appreciating your posts!), I would use the last Photoshop Elements fr editing my project pictures, and I think this depth of field edit would be really usefull.

    Looking forward to the next post,

  137. I mentor high school girls and like to document our excursions together in photos (typically, Instagram). Our time together, behind the surface-level "Bieber" talks and homework woes, gives me the chance to build their character. But I'm saddened by how beautiful these girls are, behind all the makeup and clothes, yet they have no clue, and keep trying to become somebody they aren't.

    My goal is to use Photoshop to bring their true inner qualities to life -- on the outside, in high quality style -- to help them truly embrace who they are.

  163. I use Adobe Photoshop EVERY single day, but am unfortunately using a very old version. Like, so old that I'm embarrassed to even admit which version it is. Been keeping up with your Photoshop Elements posts and would definitely be using Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 for my blog photos. Thanks for the awesome giveaway, Tieka! Fingers crossed :)

  166. I LOVE to take pictures of my family, friends, nature, etc. and edit them. I love to create art with Adobe Elements, it's my "me" time. But, I have such limited time to do so. Raising 3 teenagers plus a toddler leaves very little time for me to do what I want. Winning this would be a great boost for me and for the people around me. I love to take pictures of my kids at events and I also take pics of their friends and let them have them for free. They really appreciate it and would appreciate it even more if I could get them done quicker:o)

I have really appreciated your posts - I can always learn more - ;-}

  196. This is such an awesome opportunity! I love Adobe products, and use them every so often for my homework (I'm in art school) and for fun side projects (like making my sister's bridal shower invites!). I would love to win this. Your tutorials have been really cool to look at.
    If I won, I would definitely use it mostly for scenery photography. I'm not super into photography technically-wise, but for many years I've dappled in it, and have been told I have an eye for interesting things, which pleases me. Every time I go on a vacation, I take hundreds of photos of nature because it's just something I love capturing, and to look back on those memories is great.

    Thank you for this opportunity, both you and Adobe!
