I'm going to preface this post by saying this by no means a "DIY" post. Haha! I am the least crafty person you'll ever meet. I went to art college, yes. I can whip something out on the computer like nobody's biz. But when it comes to creating things with my hands? Oh, no, no, no. My first apron from home economics? Horrible. Cooking? Horrible. Well, that's a lie, I can make a mean plate of nachos. But yeah, I buy things. Or I make them on the computer and I print them out, or publish them to the web. That's where my skill set stands. Haha! But anyway, I wanted to share a quick end table makeover I just did. It's JUST a paint job, but I thought it'd be fun to show you. I've had this end table for years. I bought it at a local grocery store almost 6 years ago now? It was pretty beaten up from several moves and I've been trying to get away from the dark wood I collected in my early '20s. I wanted to start lightening up my apartment a bit, and this was still a decent table so I decided to try and paint it. I got my inspiration from Elsie's Gold Side Table Makeover and went from there!

I decided to go for a fun mint color for this end table. Eric and I headed to Home Depot to pick out the supplies and as soon as I spotted this color, I had to get it. For this little table, we just got a quart of paint with primer mixed in already. This exact color is Martha Stewart's Feldspar MSL131. I painted this in just a few hours while watching Blues Brothers with Eric. It required 3 coats to cover the dark wood but it dried pretty quickly, so I was able to apply coat after coat within a few hours. But yeah, I love how it turned out! I kept walking by it after I painted it to stare. It's so cute and was super easy. I'll be back this week with a dining room tour on the blog. I'm excited to start sharing a bit more of our apartment. The only room I've shared so far is our entryway, which you can peek at here! Have a great Thursday!

Supplies needed (so easy!):
- 1 Quart of Paint (just get your primer mixed in with the paint!)
- 1 3-inch Flat Foam Brush

I painted our bathroom this exact color just two months ago! It's lovely! Great minds think alike? ;) Your apartment is coming together wonderfully!
I love brightly colored furniture. I saw a post on Apartment Therapy recently that featured a bunch of brightly colored furniture infront of white walls as a way to add color to a rental. I loved it.
Very cute.
