A date downtown

These photos were taken last week when Eric and I went on a little "date" downtown. Our date consisted of running to the post office (romantic!) and heading to one of our local, favorite diners. We shared some macaroni and cheese bites, and splurged on some classic diner food. Downtown has been so busy these past few weeks with ArtPrize, so we've avoided downtown for the most part, but ArtPrize is worth tackling the crowds!

I can't believe we didn't get down there to take any photos this year. These past three weeks just flew by! We're headed to Saint Louis directly after work tomorrow, so we won't have any time before it ends on Saturday. Boo! Maybe when we get back, we can head out Monday night and snap pictures of what's still up to show you guys who aren't from the area!

Eric and I have been so busy. I've been nonstop today. I worked all day, had to take pictures for another post, had to edit them/draft content to send to a client for review, then I had to edit photos from a maternity session Eric and I did last Sunday. We worked on his website (almost ready to launch!), I had to edit these photos and now here I am... 10:45pm and I haven't relaxed once today. I even missed New Girl! Gah. I can't wait to crawl into bed with the iPad and an episode of Lost. Hey, yes. I'm still catching up on television shows from 2004. That's how behind I am. ;)

I've been having so much fun with layering lately! Mixing different prints, colors, combinations. Wearing socks over my jeans, wearing dresses with jeans, mixing up hats, scarves and piling on the sweaters, cardigans and jackets. It's so much fun to dress this time of year. I still have to pack my bags for Saint Louis (um, procrastinate much?) and I'm kind of sad to be leaving our perfect weather in Michigan. Our leaves are crazily changing colors! As soon as we get back next week though, it's go-time with taking photos and getting that autumn bucket list tackled!

  13. You look lovely with the bowler hat! :) Being busy is also a good sign that you are achieving great things!. About the shows I can totally relate, we are still watching The Sopranos :P we love it, but we do not have enough time for long episodes shows, only sitcoms fit in our schedule ;)

  21. Girl, I know what you mean about busy. Website launches take a lot of time, so I feel ya there. It seems like it just gets crazy when Fall hits! I want to do everything and nothing, all at the same time. You look great, though! Loving hats lately and your boho look is very cool. :)
