Spring begins

Hello, spring! I'm so thrilled a new season is here. Finally! To be fair, this winter did go by pretty quickly... but I'm definitely glad it's behind us. I especially love transitional seasons (spring/autumn) for personal style. It's fun to get dressed this time of year! I'm excited to be bringing out a few new items I purchased recently (after redefining my personal style more!) like these new clogs, lighter wash jeans, and this breezy floral top with flared sleeves! I've defined my style as "folksy girl-next door". Folksy meaning informal and unpretentious, and in my own terms, gives a nod to boho style. Girl-next-door is where I feel I can be a little feminine and girly, but casual and approachable. I seriously am loving this book, and can't wait to see how my style continues to evolve this season!

This week has been good so far! The sun has been out, and the temperatures are starting to feel like spring! When we were taking these photos though, it was so windy and chilly. I'm ready for a consistent 50º+ forecast. These early spring days mean 38º one day, and 60º the next. Otherwise I've just been chipping away at my closet (announcing a sale tomorrow so stay tuned on Instagram!), and working to purge as much as I can. It feels good. I also started my 10K training... so now I have eight weeks before that race! I ran another 3.1 miles on Monday, and it was tough. But, I'll get there! Lots of goals, but also trying to just slow down and accept if I don't accomplish them all. It's a journey!

Alright, I'm off to bed! Yay for mid-week tomorrow! I'll be back this week, and be sure to stay tuned to the launch of my closet sale tomorrow! I listed a lot of cute clothes that I'm sad to say goodbye to, but a lot of things just don't fit, or don't fit my personal style aesthetic anymore. I'll be happy when everything finds a new home, and a new owner can love it as much as I did at the time. Gosh, I really am a sentimental mess about my clothes! Thankfully I did keep one box of "very sentimental" items under my bed. Maybe I'll have a daughter and she'll be able to wear the Selective Potential dress someday. ♥
