We are in a winter wonderland here in Michigan! It just keeps on coming down! We took these photos before the new year, but we've gotten even more snow since then. To be honest, I'm loving the snow, I'm just really hating these freezing cold temperatures! Single digits? No, thanks. I've been trying to make the most of it though and using this time to hibernate a little bit, and get to work on other things, like organizing, cleaning, working out, and cooking meals. Winter can definitely stick around for a while! I have goals to reach!
One of the things I love most about winter is the slowness it brings to our lives. After months and months of plans, we finally have a month with no plans. It's so strange to look at our calendar, and see... nothing! It's a good time to take a break and breathe. I'm focusing on a lot of things right now, and it's nice to not have the added stress of working on things around tons of social plans. I'm doing quite a few challenges this month... a 6-week challenge at my local gym. I'm doing Dave Ramsey's Baby Steps bootcamp. And I'm working through Apartment Therapy's The January Cure. Diet/fitness, finances, and organizing/cleaning are my biggest priorities right now!
Other than working hard and getting a head start to the new year, I've been bundled up watching Netflix quiiite often. Eric and I are currently rewatching Glee, watching The Ranch, and Nashville. I'm watching The Bachelor (guilty pleasure) and This Is Us. Plus, I've been catching up on a bunch of movies on HBO I haven't seen yet. 'Tis the season! As much as I love hibernating, I also want to plan some things to get out of the house. Ice skating, tubing, and a wintry day trip are all on my winter bucket list! I hope you guys are having a great start to your new year! Here's to 2018!
