For about a week there, we had some pretty awesome mild temps and sunshine! Now we're back to cold and snow... hello, March. While I could though, I busted out my denim jacket and chucks! I'm definitely ready for spring clothes. I'm totally fine with layers! Don't get me wrong. I just really really want to put away my bulky winter boots and fur-lined parka jackets once and for all! See ya never. BYE. Just gotta hang tight. We're so close! You just never know with March in Michigan... and technically it is still winter. So I'm just going to try and enjoy the last two weeks of it. Try being the key word here!
I just got a few new goodies from Madewell, and I'm loving every single piece. I actually own this Central Shirt already in a different pattern! It's the perfect oversized boxy fit for casual looks. I'm obsessed. I'll definitely be wearing this all summer long... with cut off jean shorts, some cute sunnies, and sneakers. At the end of this month, I'm going to do an early spring 10x10 remix with lots of my new Madewell items, so stay tuned!
I also checked out the new Universal Thread line at Target. Cute! But definitely not Madewell quality, which I think is an obvious statement. I wasn't really tempted to buy anything, to be honest. I love the new Wenda booties I bought, and I picked up a cute blush pink purse for $25, but otherwise I wasn't really into it. Especially not the jeans. With as much as I wear a single pair of jeans (especially when I truly love them), I don't mind them being a bigger investment for amazing fit and quality. Have you checked out Universal Thread? What do you think? Maybe I'll come around after a few releases, because I really do love the style. We'll see!
I hope you guys are having a good week so far! I'm glad tomorrow is already Wednesday. I feel like the weeks have been going by pretty quickly, but for some reason the days have just been dragging. I think I'm just over winter (happens around this time of year always!) and ready for some sunshine and warmer temps! In other exciting news, Eric and I will be heading to DETROIT soon for a weekend trip! I've been there several times before, but never to stay overnight and actually explore... so if you have any tips of places to see/eat/drink, let me know!
