Happy Monday! I'm glad for a new week. This weekend's weather was kind of crummy and put me into a sad, lazy funk. And right now it's only 84º but holy moly, it's a freaking jungle out there. Like, no point at all in attempting to blow-dry and curl your hair with the humidity. The second you step outside, it just goes POOF. So I'm going to take the week/weekend off likely from taking photos, wrap up the photos/content I do have, enjoy the long holiday weekend (and last unofficial weekend of summer) and then we're off to Phoenix for a long weekend! Once we're back from that trip, it'll definitely start to feel like autumn here in Michigan and I'm ready. Ready for a change, for a new season.
I've been working with Tradlands to style up a few of their pieces. I styled their golden gingham top in this post, and their chambray top here in this post. I also have an adorable white sleeveless tee that will be perfect for this upcoming holiday weekend. This was my first time trying out Tradlands, and I'm definitely a fan. Everything is such great quality, and are closet staples I'll keep for years to come. I'm trying to convert my wardrobe more and more into pieces I'll love and be able to wear for a long, long time. Less is more right now in my closet (and life).
Otherwise, not much else is new. I'm looking forward to the long holiday weekend and all the plans that September will bring. It's already shaping up to be a busy month, but I have a feeling that after we're back from Arizona, things will start to calm down... which I'm insanely looking forward to. There's just a calmness about autumn compared to summer. Cozy sweaters, lit candles, trips to the cider mill, more dark time to cozy up and watch movies. I'm just excited to slow down. Summers in Michigan are so amazing, and I LOVED this summer, more than most, but I'm also just a little burned out. Good things are definitely coming, and I just need to be enjoy this moment while it's here. Autumn will be here before we know it.
