We’re onto the last post from our time in the desert! Well… in a very desert-y neighborhood in Scottsdale, Arizona. 😉 This was the last night of our trip! We had spent the whole day grilling out at the pool with family, so when we got back to our Airbnb, Eric and I went for a walk to take advantage of some golden hour light. We mostly shot our photos from Arizona in direct light (which is so tough) but we just didn’t have a lot of down time to make golden hour work everyday, so I’m glad I at least got one set of photos from that magical time!
I saw this wrap dress on Madewell a while back, and couldn’t stop thinking about it… so I decided to splurge! When I went to their website, it was gone, and I felt so bummed until I spotted it on the Nordstrom website. So tip to you Madewell-lovers out there, if something is removed/sold out… be sure to check Nordstrom! So I picked up this beauty and have worn it tons this summer. It’s such a versatile dress. I love the wrap element, of course. And the material is a breezy crinkled cotton… so wrinkles just blend right in. I love it!
That’s a wrap on my summer, and I’ll be moving into autumn content next! I don’t see my style changing drastically this season. I’m still obsessed with mom jeans, wrap tops, Madewell-everything, tawny this and that, gold accessories, and easy-to-style outfits. I picked up a few autumn-wrap tops (burgundy gingham/cedar sweater which is on sale). On my wishlist is a good pair of leather ankle boots, and a new coat I can wear through winter. I’m loving these boots and this coat. But we’re also at the very tail-end of a super exciting journey (that I’ll definitely talk more about soon), but it’s inspiring me to hold off on all expenses and not spend any money at all. (Can you guess what’s going on?) It’s might be end of November before I can pick up some new things… but we’ll see!
