Memorial Day with Tick Tock Vintage

Here are the last of my photos from my weekend with Veronika from Tick Tock Vintage! On her last day here, it was perfect weather for a typical day in Grand Haven. Scooting, ice-cream, eating pizza on an outdoor patio... so of course, we did just that! We drove around our neighborhood for a while so we could see all of the old historic homes! I absolutely loved that Veronika hopped on the back of my scooter, in her dress and heels, like no big deal. That is my kind of girl, seriously!

Brett led us around on his scoot! We took the back roads so we could skip traffic and so that Veronika could see this view of Lake Michigan. Even Brett and I are amazed when we cross over the hill and see this. You can see the lighthouse in the distance too! Memorial Day was insanely packed. The "strip" had crazy traffic all day long. Another amazing thing about riding scooters! We can park anywhere we want!

Veronika's post on the Delightful Dozen blog made me feel so proud to live here! She really captured it beautifully. It's amazing to see the other things people notice that you take for granted. It was the first time Veronika saw a lighthouse up close and personal. Isn't that awesome? Even little things like the park benches and the way the pier rails looked - she loved. Things I walk by and don't even notice. It was nice having a fresh perspective on our little beach town! Now I can't wait to go to Philly to visit her! Love that girl to death!
