I'm excited to show you guys a sneak peek at my photos for Minnetonka's new blogger lookbook for summer that is launching soon! It's based on the idea of "road trip style" and of course, I couldn't love road trips more. Eric and I take them constantly to see lighthouses all around Michigan, different places like drive-ins, diners, you name it. Most of the time, we're traveling along some back country road so I thought I'd base my outfit off the trip, not the destination! You guys always see my outfits for the different places we travel to, but I thought it'd be fun to mix it up and show you an outfit for a long day of driving or exploring.
I'm also thrilled to be partnering with Minnetonka Moccasin as their brand ambassador at the Texas Style Council Conference in a few weeks! We'll be doing a fun event with bloggers and giving away some great prizes at prom! I'm also excited to see everyone I haven't seen in forever, and to meet the Minnetonka gals. It's going to be a great weekend. I just need to prepare my pasty Michigan body though for that Austin heat. It's going to be HOT.
I'm absolutely in love with gingham print right now. The next item on my list is a red gingham top or dress, especially paired with a cute straw hat. It's the perfect summer print, in my opinion. I picked up this top from Target and was absolutely in love, but it's not exactly ideal for wearing out constantly. So I also picked up the exact print of this top in a long-sleeve (not crop-top) shirt from Old Navy. I'm constantly wearing both! Plus, I feel like they'll both transition into autumn really well.
Do you guys have any road trips planned for the remainder of summer? We have so much going on. Next weekend, we're heading to southwest Michigan to explore a cave, hit up an amazing beach and see a lighthouse, of course. In August, we're headed up to the upper peninsula to see waterfalls, rock formations, a crap ton of lighthouses and more! Then the weekend after that, we're headed back up to the tip of the lower peninsula to see more lighthouses (you guys are going to hate lighthouses by the end of this! ;)) and some fun touristy places. I'm excited. I live for road trips. Even Labor Day weekend, we're headed to Nashville. So if you have any tips, let me know!
