Video // The Great Northwest

Alright! We're onto my final post from our trip to the "great northwest" of Michigan. Over the entire weekend, we decided to try and just shoot a little bit of footage with my camera. It's a little shaky, but I thought it turned out lovely! And it's just fun to look back and see what we saw on our weekend trip, especially one that meant a lot to us. Enjoy! And happy Sunday! I'm sooo thrilled for a short week and long weekend coming up. xo

At The Drive In

Remember when I did a sneak peek post back in June for a video at the drive-in? Well, I'm so excited to finally debut the video! I worked with my good, old friends - Nick and Andrew from Little Cabin Films! They came up with the whole concept and as soon as I heard about it - I couldn't wait to film it. The video came out so cute and will definitely be something I cherish for life! Thanks to Nick and Andrew from Little Cabin Films - so much - for the concept and shooting the video! It's perfect! Be sure to check out their website. They are based in Chicago, so if you ever have any video needs - they are super awesome to work with. Enjoy!

Binder Park Zoo

This past weekend, I headed down to Battle Creek to go to Binder Park Zoo! I had never been before and it was a lot of fun. We have a really great zoo in our city, but sometimes it's nice to experience a new place! This zoo had tons of walking trails and you could take a train to get to certain parts! I went with a few good friends, and just had a simple, fun day at the zoo!

We were able to purchase lettuce to feed to the giraffes! It was so crazy how their tongues stretched out to get their food! It was super fun. It was definitely the highlight of our trip! I always really love the monkey exhibits though. My favorite animal at the zoo is the gorilla. Binder Park Zoo didn't have any gorillas though. Bummer! I think the next zoo I want to check out is Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago!

I kept it very simple with my outfit. It was pretty warm outside and I wanted to wear flats for walking all day. I received this dress via the Delightful Dozen. It's Starr's and I'll be doing a post soon with how each of us have styled it up so far! It's just a perfect, striped summer dress that is easy to throw on and feel comfortable. I felt super odd without a belt though. Haha!

Meadows of yellow

80 degrees, sunshine, a field of pretty yellow flowers... what else could a girl want, right? Today was lovely. Our town is finally starting to perk up because tourist season is basically here! I took a drive around Lake Michigan (a typical thing to do in our town) and there were so many people out. Eee, I'm so in love with this time of year. Gorgeous flowers... and last night there was a crazy thunderstorm happening. Love it.

I was so excited when we spotted this gorgeous field of yellow flowers on my favorite back country road. I've taken so many photos on this road. I think this is actually a pumpkin field! I've never seen so many flowers just stretch for so long! It was crazy. I absolutely loved running through the rows and taking photos!

I adore this floral print skirt from Francesca's Collections. I've worn it several times since I received it. It's just so easy to throw on and style! Plus, it goes amazing with my coral crush lipstick I've been loving lately. I wear it constantly.

I have an insanely busy week ahead of me! I'll be announcing something really fun on the blog tonight. Some of you already know though! I have something to do every night this week and then I have to get ready for the weekend! I'm so excited for Memorial Day weekend, to see Andrea, to have Veronika stay, to see Tall Ships play their last show, to be with friends... it's going to be a good one. ♥
