Hi friends! Did you have a merry Christmas? We celebrated with Eric's family, and my dad and step-mom already, and have one more celebration to go at my mom's house tonight. We've had a good weekend... a bit lazy, but good! One of my favorite parts about the holidays is the requirement of getting into comfy clothes, and lounging around the house. Since the city pretty much shuts down on Christmas (except for the movie theater, which was packed!), we've pretty much stayed home, watched movies, and ate lots of junk food. I'm still on holiday weekend, but I just wanted to pop in quick with Lee & Birch's After Xmas Sale! They are offering 40% off all sale items, 20% off regular items in store, and 30% off online items with code "AFTERXMAS"!Read More
One of my favorite days of the entire year is our annual trip to Frankenmuth. I was thinking about this the other day... and I was like, "Why do I love this day so much?" It's so crowded with people, it's usually freezing, it's expensive, you are lured into buying things you don't need, it's touristy AF, and you have to wait two hours in line for dinner. But honestly, I love it, so insanely much. It's just a day that means so much to me, and I can only truly say, it's a feeling I get when I'm there. It's so quaint and festive, I love spending the entire day with Eric, I love the places we visit (same places every year) and I love the food. And maybe part of it is that I absolutely love tradition, and nothing makes me happier than a simple, happy life. But man, I love Frankenmuth.

Hi friends! Did you have a good weekend? I loved this past weekend. On Friday night, we went to my annual work holiday party, which is always so much fun. The food is yummy, the company is wonderful, and our white elephant gift exchange is always a riot! On Saturday, we headed to Frankenmuth, but I have an entire post dedicated to that coming this week, and on Sunday, I went to a friend's house for a merry mimosa brunch. We have gotten SO much snow... I can't even believe it! It's a total winter wonderland in Michigan right now. I love it. It's just so pretty, and perfect for Christmas. We didn't have a white Christmas last year, so I really hope the snow stays until the new year at least!

As we begin winter, I like to start thinking more about my beauty routine, especially on areas of myself that I'm excited to show more of in summer. And that most definitely includes silky smooth legs. I'm all for body hair if that's your thing, but I just love the feeling of smooth, hair-free legs. I'm going to talk about how we can achieve that with the help of Silk’n Flash&Go Express!Read More
With winter solstice only two weeks away, I thought it'd be fun to pull a few of my past favorite winter outfits to inspire me for a new season! I really do love this time of year. It's the perfect excuse to hibernate a little bit, cozy up on the sofa, catch up on movies, cook yummy meals at home, and spend extra time with friends and family. Winter is just my hardest time to find inspiration for style. Maybe it's because it's the season that lasts the longest in Michigan and it takes extra effort to constantly come up with something new? Maybe it's because it's just too cold to consider anything other than a huge sweater and winter coat? Like I mentioned in my last post though, I want to step it up a bit this year and take on the winter challenge and feel proud of my style and improve it as much as I can.Read More
It's been snowing! I know you can't tell in these photos, except for a few snowflakes, but an hour after this, the entire city was a winter wonderland. I almost wish we had waited to take photos! But, alas, here we are. Same ol' same ol' brick wall, and a super quick outfit post, in not my favorite outfit ever. That's okay. It happens to the best of us. On this day, we were quickly walking from the car to the coffee shop so I could work on a few blog posts and edit some photos. I love grabbing a warm beverage, and cozying up in a room full of people plugging away at work. Plus, it's a great way to get out of the house for a little bit!
