Hello June

Hi friends! Long time, no see! Way unintentional blog break there, but geez, life is zooming by. Since I saw you last (here at least), we went to Ann Arbor for Memorial Day weekend, rode 20 miles around Muskegon for the annual Pub Pedal (my legs are STILL sore!), went to an outdoor Eat/Shop/Rock event where Eric's band played, and I've been kicking butt at working at a small secret project. Kudos if you caught it on my Instastories! If not, I'll be sharing more soon. We've just been very busy, and I'm trying to prioritize, but it's definitely a challenge. I have a blog post coming up on our Ann Arbor trip, and I need to get my June small goals up, and I finally filmed a little video tonight with a hair tutorial, so I just need to get that edited and ready to go! Lots to do, and summer is here, which means life gets busy in the best way!

Red is not in the color palette I created for my personal style, but... rules are meant to be broken! I like red a lot, but I don't like a full outfit with red. Sometimes it just feels like a bit too much. But I definitely love pops of it... a bright red lip, or cute red flats, especially with a gingham top, and especially in summer. When we were in Ann Arbor last weekend, I knew I had to pop into Madewell to pick up these "perfect summer jeans". I love them. Definitely perfect for casual, summer outfits! We've been having a bit of summer weather here in Michigan now that it's June and I'm thrilled!

I hope you guys are having a great week! I'm glad tomorrow is already Wednesday. I feel like I have so many things I want to talk to you guys about... like throwing away my scale, learning self-love (it's HARD), updating my closet for summer based on The Curated Closet, updating my closet after our IKEA trip (still a work-in-progress), our bucket list for summer, my updated skincare routine, hair tutorial, so much. There's so much I'd love to blog about, I just need to make sure I prioritize and make more time so I can get those posts up! Thanks for sticking around and being patient. I absolutely love this little blog of mine, and don't plan on giving it up anytime soon. ♥
