One of my favorite places to head in Michigan is up to Traverse City and the Leelanau Peninsula. Last summer, I took a trip with my girlfriends and we booked a wine tour that took us all around – stopping to Leelanau Cellars, which was my first time ever visiting! Instantly… it was my favorite winery. I’m a sweet wine drinker – all the way – bring on the sweet red and Moscato! And while I love wine tasting in Traverse City, there aren’t a ton of wineries that offer a breadth of sweet options. It was fate we stopped to Leelanau Cellars! I’m forever their biggest fan now, and I had the wonderful chance to stay there a few weekends ago with a group of our closest friends. It was one of the best weekends!

I wore this for our road trip home in the car from up north. Road trips are just the BEST in autumn… the scenery is so pretty the entire way! This is the last from our trip to the Tunnel of Trees. I have a couple more autumnal posts to wrap up November, and then we’re moving into the holidays! It’s already snowed here twice, melted both times, and now we’re left with this gray transitional weather. I’m great with that until Thanksgiving is over, and then I want it to snow, snow, snow all the way to Christmas!

On my Michigan bucket list of places to visit… I finally got to visit Legs Inn! This place has been on my travel list for so long. I grew up eating Polish food that my grandma would make, and I don’t get to eat it too often anymore, so I was really excited to visit this historic landmark! It’s located right in Cross Village, pretty much at the end of your journey down the Tunnel of Trees. We stopped along the way to snap some photos of the pretty autumn colors, and made our way toward deliciousness. During autumn, it’s SO busy, so we waited almost 2 hours… but it was well worth it!

So, even though we’ve already had our first snowfall here in Michigan… I’m sitting on a boatload of content, so it’s going to be autumn here through November (which is how it should be anyway!) I’m trying to catch up, but other things have just taken priority lately. Work has been super busy, I’m trying to get back into my FLEX routine, we’ve been working to make our apartment as cozy as possible after the fire, and I’m starting to cook again, fill our fridge, and get back on track with everything in life! But let’s back up to our trip to Tunnel of Trees, which was my favorite autumn weekend. We took a long drive along M119, which is so beautiful and scenic.

Hello, November! I’m loving these mild autumn days we’ve been having lately – the best lightweight jacket weather – and this XCVI jacket from Zappos has been on repeat! I’m all about the utility look… it’s perfect for the season. Plus, I absolutely love the longer length of this coat… because it actually goes past so many of my longer length cardigans! I always hate when my longer cardigans hang out of my coat; so this one is perfect for those styles! We’re just past peak autumn color now, but I feel like all of the trees dropped their leaves overnight! It makes for the prettiest sidewalks. I absolutely love taking walks through our neighborhood right now.

It’s the season for apple orchards, cider doughnuts, hot cider, pumpkin spice coffee… and of course, all the denim! (Well, denim is a staple in every season!) We recently headed out to our local apple orchard to enjoy all of the above, along with the brisk autumn air we’ve been having in Michigan lately. I wore my new jeans from 7 For All Mankind from Zappos! I’ve been wearing a lot of wide leg denim lately, so I thought I’d snatch up a pair of high-waisted boyfriend jeans in a skinnier fit to go with some chunky sweaters and boots. These jeans are so comfy, stretchy, and I love the midnight moon dark wash for the upcoming cooler months.
