Hartman Rock Garden

We're back from a fun and exciting trip to... Springfield, Ohio! I love small-town adventures, quirky tourist traps and exploring new places, so this trip was right up my alley. It's a relatively easy drive from Michigan (about 5 hours), and there are lots of unique things to do to spend a weekend there! I'll be blogging about our trip all week... and first up, we have the Hartman Rock Garden. It's one of the nation's most revered works of in situ folk art, an outsider art phenomena where self-taught artists construct worlds out of concrete, metal, stone, and whatever else they can find. It was interesting to explore and see how much detail went into this garden!

Amelia's Flower Truck

During our time in Nashville, I really wanted to make sure we hunted down Amelia's Flower Truck! I've seen it on Instagram a million times, and it's just as cute in person as it is in photos. We saw it was going to be in the 12 South neighborhood, so we headed over there, snapped some photos, bought a pretty autumnal bouquet, and walked around for a bit enjoying the sunshine. We also stopped for tacos at Taqueria del Sol. So good! I really love that neighborhood. Be sure to keep reading for outfit details... because Madewell is having a big 25% off sale right now!

Just outside Nashville

Hi friends! I apologize for the unintentional blog break there. Life has been busy with Halloween plans, work outings, busy schedules, and our recent trip to Nashville. But I'm finally back with a few posts from our trip! We had a great time in Tennessee. This was our fourth year in a row... and we still haven't even scratched the surface of things to do there. But, I was really excited to ditch downtown for a day, and head outside of Nashville to Franklin and Arrington. As much as I love the hustle and bustle of Broadway, I'm much more of a scenic view, small-town girl. It's so much more relaxing. So here's a little recap of our first full day.
