Ramona's Table

A few weeks ago, we headed up to Rockford for a delicious lunch at Ramona's Table! I feel like we've walked past this place a million times, but have never stopped before. I'm so glad we got a chance to check it out finally! It was delicious, the service was wonderful, and I'm still dreaming of their seasonal sangria. Yum! If you're ever in Rockford, I'd definitely recommend paying them a visit. They're located right downtown Rockford (near the dam and all sorts of shopping!) and have a great outdoor patio in the summer. I can't wait to go back when it's warmer outside!

Working from the coffee shop

Sponsored by Zappos

So if you don’t know, I work full-time as a graphic designer at a communications agency in downtown Grand Rapids. I spend my 8-5 behind my desk at the office, but sometimes I love to get out and work from a local coffee shop to mix it up a little bit. Usually I’m working over my lunch hour on the blog, so hitting up a local coffee shop is a great way to get out of the office and still be in a community of people. Working from home is always great too, but I definitely get distracted with chores and television, so heading somewhere to focus is always a good idea.

Anthropologie Holiday Fashion Show

A couple weekends ago, I got the amazing opportunity to walk in my first fashion show for Anthropologie! Every year, they host an annual Holiday Fashion Show with sips and sweets. It's such a fun evening to chat and mingle with local friends, do a little shopping, and enjoy a night out with some amazing fashion. I had a lot of fun trying out some totally unique looks that I might not have normally tried! I was surprised by two of my closest friends sitting in the front row, and I was totally an unprofessional dork just beaming down the runway. It was such a fun evening! One I was a little nervous for, but so glad I participated in, because it ended up being SO much fun. Thanks to Anthropologie for having me, and thanks to Jackie D Palmer Films for the amazing photos!

Chopping the tree

Moving onto... winter! I'm excited. Thankfully we had an awesome autumn, and it lasted all the way through November. But when December hits, I'm ready for snow, winter, and holiday cheer! We ended up chopping our tree down right before the snowy winter wonderland hit. It was nice for the convenience of chopping down a tree, and hauling it around, but it's always so pretty when it's snowy outside. Every year, we drive out to Hart Christmas Tree Farm. It's our tradition now, so I can't imagine going anywhere else. They have so many different types of trees to choose from, and you can either get one pre-chopped, or head into the fields to chop your own! We always chop our own, of course. It's way more fun that way!

Keeping My Hair Healthy In Winter

Heading into the winter months, I always make sure I take the time to pay closer attention to my hair routine. The cold winter months can be very damaging to your hair, even without the added stress of blow drying, curling, straightening, and so on. It’s important to use products meant for repair this time of year! That’s why I’m using the Gliss™ by Schwarzkopf Ultra Moisture products. Read on for some tips on how to keep your hair strong and healthy this winter season!

This post is sponsored by Gliss by Schwarzkopf. As always, opinions are my own!

December fields

Onto the FINAL post of autumn... so sad! I loved autumn this year, and I'm so thankful it lasted all the way through November and even a little bit into December! We shot these photos right at the beginning of December before the temperatures dropped like crazy and we were hit with a mountain of snow! I loved being able to get a chance to wear these strappy wedges from DSW before I had to put them away for the season. They are my new favorite! I can't wait to bring them back out again in spring. A surefire way to jazz up a pretty basic outfit (jeans and turtleneck combo, which is one of my faves right now.)
