End of winter

We're so close to the end of winter... I'm counting the days! I've been kind of bored lately, to be honest. I think it's just a mix of cabin fever, wanting to travel, but being a grown up and sticking to what I said I was going to do... not travel, pay off debt, and save money. So, we're doing that, and I'm so proud of that, but I've also been feeling blah lately. I think that just comes with this time of the year anyway, but yeah, I'm excited for spring and all the fun that brings! We can visit the tulip fields, take small day trips, and get outta the house without spending very much money at all. I'm looking forward to it, that's for sure.

This weekend has been pretty good though! Friday night, Eric and I grabbed dinner at Winchester, and came home to hang out for the night. Eric played some video games, and I caught up on some movies on my HBO watchlist. Saturday morning, we grabbed brunch at the new Matchbox Diner. We had to wait 45 minutes or so, but it was honestly some of the best food I've ever had. I didn't totally love my bloody mary compared to others locally, but the food, oh my gosh. Eric and I both ordered the "build your own benny" and I got it with bacon, tomatoes and hollandaise sauce. It was seriously melt in your mouth good. We'll definitely be going back there. Often.

Saturday night, we grabbed some outfit shots (right before the sun was going down, so excuse the darkness) and drinks at Long Road Distillers. (My favorite local place for cocktails.) After that, we met up with friends at Sovengard for drinks and snacks, and then ended our night at O'Toole's for drinks. It's so fun to see the west side of Grand Rapids just booming right now. I love it! Today has been a pretty routine Sunday. Bagels for breakfast, headed to the gym and ran 2.45 miles (so close, but it feels so far away) and went grocery shopping. Eric cleaned up the apartment (what!) and now I'm trying to catch up on some photos and get a jump start on the week! March is going to fly by (already is) and I just really want to make the most of it.
