Yellow Dog River Bridge

It was the perfect autumn evening for a drive out to Big Bay, with the fall colors popping off in full force… finally! 🍂 I stopped for a glass of wine at Thunder Bay Inn, and headed to Yellow Dog River Bridge to soak in the golden hour light and the autumnal views. I wore my favorite plaid shacket from Madewell (out of stock, but here’s a similar option that’s more of a jacket) and broke in my new Blundstone boots—perfect for an evening like this. After snapping a few photos, I headed back to Marquette, cruising the back roads at dusk, which is easily one of my favorite ways to spend a fall weeknight. There’s nothing quite like autumn in the U.P.!

One of my favorite things about autumn is bringing back buffalo plaid and muted earthy tones—it just feels so right for the season! I love being able to layer again, which makes dressing for the transitional months so much easier. Nothing too new lately, just fully embracing fall and planning a few upcoming adventures, hopefully to Ontonagon or the Keweenaw. I’m also working on checking things off my autumn bucket list, like making chili, watching spooky movies at home, and peeping those gorgeous fall colors we’re finally seeing. Ok, that’s all for now—have a good day, byeee! 🍂
