Happy April! March was an insane month. I can’t even believe how it started to how it ended, and everything that happened in between. It’s crazy to think about. Life can change so fast. But I’m so glad to be onto a new month… April showers bring May flowers! So yeah, after really struggling the first two weeks of quarantine, I am now fully embedded into a routine. I read something yesterday that routines are as effective as therapy sessions or antidepressants (don’t ditch your therapist or meds tho!) and I honestly believe it right now. My routine is SAVING me, haha. I just have it in my head that I’m hustling toward a goal of May. Right now I’m just 100% focused on myself… staying as busy as I can while working-from-home, eating super healthy, cooking meals, working out 4x a week, taking my own photos, blogging, keeping up the gram, cleaning and organizing, and having time at the end of the night to relax, drink wine, watch a show, look through photo albums, or whatever. I honestly weirdly feel okay right now, haha.

7 Lake Michigan Lighthouses in One Day

Phew! Here we are, in the midst of the Coronavirus. I had no idea life could change so fast in such a short amount of time, that’s for sure. I guess I’m lucky to say that, my life has been pretty blessed. But this past weekend, I pretty much broke down. Friday night was my lowest point. So Saturday, I was like… what do I love doing most? What can I do in this current situation that will make me happy? Duh, lighthouses. ❤️ I got into my car and just headed straight to Grand Haven, and I decided I was going to see as MANY lighthouses as possible until the sun went down. And that’s exactly what I did. And as cheesy as this sounds, lighthouses have always given me some light in my life, hope, something to look forward to. And the scenes and memories of this day gave me so much peace. As I was climbing dunes and just sitting in the sand taking in the views of the lake and the lighthouses, I just felt like “me”.

Well what in the actual fuuuuck is life right now. 🤣 Not sure I’ve ever dropped the f-bomb on my blog before, but this time of life warrants it. So I snapped these photos the weekend before the whole world was cancelled because of the Coronavirus. It was like… the last normal weekend, haha. On this day, I woke up, met the girls for brunch at Ando, we walked over to Bridge Street Market for wine and snacks, sat on a rooftop patio drinking and talking for hours, and then when they all left, I ran out to snap some outfit photos and to head home, work on those, edit, and watch a movie. Like… normalcy? What is that? Hahaha. Since then, my job went remote for 3+ weeks, all bars and restaurants closed down for dine-in, no movies, most of the stores are closed, downtown is a ghost town, like, life is just nuts right now.

Hellooooo, March! So excited for this month because it means we’re that much closer to spring. Spring officially begins in a couple of weeks, daylight saving time begins this weekend, we’re seeing 50º+ on the forecast… I am here 👏🏻 for 👏🏻 it. Honestly winter did go by pretty quickly, but I’m just so ready to ditch boots + socks + bulky coats. Thankfully this coat is warm, yet not too heavy, so it’s perfect for this transitional weather. It’s still chilly out (that wind tho, BRR) but sunny and I’m very very grateful for sunshine! ☀️ This coat is also on sale right now for only $50 at Old Navy, so be sure to head over and check that out!

February spring vibes

Happy Sunday! Well here I am… hanging out in February! We’ve been blessed with some sunny days — today was sunny and in the high 40s! It’s been kind of nice; but I’m also hoping that March/April aren’t just a winter shitstorm, haha. Agh well, take the sunshine when you can get it in Michigan, I guess! But yeah, since the weather was so nice, I decided to bust out some more spring-y pieces! I just got this sweater from Zappos. I love the color blocking of pink + mustard! Plus, these sneaks from Madewell are my new faves. They are taking a second to break in, but otherwise they’re super comfy + easy to slip on with a pair of jeans!

Hi there! Happy Monday. Did you guys have a good weekend? Mine was pretty good! Friday + Saturday, I just stayed home, lol. Super exciting stuff over here. But I was really productive! I listed a ton of stuff on Poshmark, so if you’re interested in shopping my closet, head over there! Things are going quickly. I played some Sims 4, caught up on some cleaning, and then Sunday was the best day ever! I met up with friends for brunch at 11am, that somehow turned into an all day Sunday Funday and we ended at 7:30pm at night. 😂 Such a good day though; I had a headache pretty much all day today, but it was worth it. Hahaha. I still managed to get to the gym tonight so woo!
