Read MoreThirteen consecutive years at the tulip fields… and this is the first time visiting during sunrise! I was a little bummed because I was maybe a week early… the fences were still up to keep the deer out, the fields weren’t 100% in bloom yet, but it was still beautiful and it was lovely to see the fields in a whole new light.
Read MoreThis past weekend, I was like… 55º? Yes. Even if windy and a little drizzly. I will put on a spring outfit and pull out my DSLR for the first time in months. I headed to a go-to spot I visit for golden hour often — Clark Lambros. It’s a wonderful beach/park right on Lake Superior and perfect for freighter watching.

I visited in spring, and walked around downtown for a bit, hit up Pronto Pup for a quick dinner of corndogs, and walked to the Grand Haven South Pier & Lighthouse. Definitely a must visit if you’re looking for a quaint beach town in Michigan… sunsets here are always glorious!

Read MoreTulips in spring? Yes, please! Windmill Island has over 100,000 tulips bloom in the spring! There is also a 250-year-old windmill which is called DeZwann, the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the United States, a carousel, plus a few cute Dutch-themed shops to stroll. It’s just such a treat to walk around!
