Bum’s Beach
Popping in with a short and sweet blog post today from Bum’s Beach! Normally I like to add more… like… filler photos, or context, or something, but I was out here shooting photos, it’s a very public/easily accessible beach, but I heard a couple screaming at each other, and I got spooked, and grabbed my tripod and camera and bolted, lol. So just a few quick outfit photos today of a very spring-look! It’s still been quite chilly here in the Upper Peninsula, so I’ve been layering up a lot, rockin’ this 90s trucker jacket over everything in a pinch, but definitely ready to just wear my spring/summer outfits without always having to layer up! But I mean, it’s pretty much that way until the 4th of July, even beyond. Before I moved here, I used to joke you could still wear your heaviest sweater in summer in the UP. It’s true! 😆
I picked up this skirt last spring in Grand Rapids, but it looks like it’s still available online at a few different boutiques. It’s cute! And I still adore these Aerie cropped tanks I got last fall too… still available on their website. Everything’s linked below. But what else is new? Not much really, just… the usual! Enjoying the start to June, a lot of social time with friends, but just cozy, peaceful and kind of slow. I’m moving into phase 3 of half marathon training, just did an 11-mile run last weekend, so I’m pretty much race-ready and still have another month and a half of training, which is encouraging! But yeah, usual Tieka life, watching through the AFI list (The Shawshank Redemption last night, SO GOOD), hangin’ with buds, making some summer plans, working on some videos and blog posts, watching a lot of SATC (into the reboot now… I don’t know…), enjoying home life a lot too, but yeah, a vibey moment in time, that’s for sure. Just… growth all around. ✨
