Tulip fields

My favorite spring tradition! 🌷 I love visiting the tulip fields in Holland, Michigan. This is my 16th year taking photos here! (Missed a year at one point, oops, lol.) It’s just so magical every year. Elliot and I made the stop here on our way down to Illinois for his sister’s college graduation, and I’m so glad we made the trip. Unfortunately it was Tulip Time (it’s great, don't get me wrong, but sooo many people) but we really lucked out with driving right into the parking lot of Windmill Island Gardens and finding a parking spot right near the entrance. We were in and out basically, snapped our photos, helped a few others snap theirs lol, and then hit the road! Next time maybe I’d stick around longer, but again, not for Tulip Time. 😂

Spring in West Michigan truly is magical though. I love going down there every year at this time for all of the blooming trees and tulip fields! And then thankfully, we have some of that to look forward to back in the Upper Peninsula… especially once lilac season hits here in Marquette. Swoon city! But I was glad we went to Windmill Island this year, I try to alternate a bit between this location and Veldheer’s! Veldheers has probably more long rows of tulips, but Windmill Island is just so pretty with the windmill in the background. Anyway, if you’ve read this blog long enough, you’ve heard me ramble about this same thing every year so I’ll just wrap it up here. 😆

So very grateful for a boyfriend that wants to do these things with me, is so very calm and patient, and is the best photographer I know (I mean he does this for a living), but yeah, Elliot, thank you!!! But I was kinda cracking up because I didn’t realize I was wearing the exact same outfit as 2020 besides the jeans/shoes, but the same sweater AND same sunglasses. My closet really has not changed much, which is a good thing, but also… makes me the worst style blogger ever. Eh, this isn’t a style blog anymore anyway. 😉 We’re all just here cuz we’ve been here for forever, hahaha. Ok ok done with my rambles. Byeeee! I’ll be back with lilacs next likely. 😆
