Fort Myers & Sanibel | Day 2

Our second day in Fort Myers & Sanibel was a productive one! We woke up, had brunch at Jack's (at Pink Shell Resort) and headed down to the ocean. Laura ventured out on a paddleboard, and I laid in the shade on the beach. Afterwards, we headed out to one of our must-do excursions... a fishing trip. I was like, um... what? I had never been fishing before, let alone, on the ocean! There are SHARKS out there (which I almost caught a mini one)! So we met up with Captain Rob of Soulmate Charters. He was the nicest person ever, and to be totally honest... I thoroughly enjoyed our fishing trip. I think I enjoyed it more after I learned that fish don't feel pain, but I still felt so guilty anytime I would catch a fish. In one of the pictures above, Rob was laughing at me because my face just flat out read, "I'm not touching that fish!" Haha! But it was definitely a highlight of the trip, and I loved that we did something totally new and something we wouldn't normally sign up for. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone, and especially with Captain Rob. After that adventure, we headed back to the hotel for a quick snack and a pool dip at our resort. I'll be back with our evening of day two when we headed to Times Square (the Fort Myers Beach version!)
