Scottsdale neighborhood

Even though it officially feels like autumn here in Michigan, I’m still loving on the desert for a couple more days while I wrap up my posts from our trip to Phoenix! We stayed in Scottsdale, in a super cool neighborhood. Our Airbnb was amazing and modern, and I loved being able to relax on this trip with our family! This trip was a little different than our normal trips where we go, go, go to see everything we can… and it was fun for a change to sit back, relax, and drink wine by the pool! On this day, Eric and I decided to venture out to do a little shopping, so we snapped some photos on the street of the neighborhood we stayed in before our Uber picked us up!

My uniform in Arizona was definitely a denim skirt, easy lightweight top, my woven circle tote and my strappy boardwalk sandals! It was so so hot. I brought jeans, but didn’t wear them once! Only while traveling in the airport both days. During our trip, we went to Fashion Square to do a little bit of shopping. I had to stop to Madewell, since we don’t have one in Grand Rapids. I tried on a bunch of cute autumn things, but I was honestly just so hot and not at all in autumn mode. So I ended up getting this easy crop tee (which was perfect to wear during our trip) and this denim square-neck top on sale!

Fashion Square was really fun to check out though. We walked around there for a bit, before heading back to the Airbnb to relax by the pool before a night out. That night we ended up going to Wasted Grain and Loco Patrõn for dinner, which was delicious! My favorite part of the night was taking a golf cart from one location to another… that was so fun. We don’t have anything like that in Grand Rapids! Eric and I loved the mango habanero margaritas and the fried avocado tacos at Loco Patrõn. One more post from Phoenix coming at you soon — and then we move into full on autumn!
