Railroad in Channing

I’m always on the lookout for cute photo spots… and I’ve wanted to stop here for a while! I make the drive from Marquette to Iron Mountain often, because one of my best friends lives there, and it’s fun to visit her and stay the night. I never knew I’d spend so much time in Iron Mountain… haha! I hadn’t even ever heard of that town before moving to the UP. 😂 But about halfway from Marquette to Iron Mountain is a little town called Channing. Blink and you’ll miss it, but it has this cute historic railroad station… and these train-cars filled with logs have been sitting there for a while. I’m glad I stopped too, because I drove by a couple weeks later, and they had all moved on!

I’m still busting out all of my autumn clothes… while this weather is here! We did get some snow, but it’s sort of come and gone a bit. To me, autumn is here through Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving? Bring on winter and Christmas-everything. But until then, autumn autumn auuuuuttmmnnn! I’ve been slightly obsessed with the Universal Thread line at Target lately. I never tended to gravitate toward that section, but lately I’ve been browsing through… and have gotten three new pullover sweaters along with some cute rings too. But yeah, this sweater is one of my favorites now! Plus it’s on sale for $10 right now. I mean c’mon. 😂

Well I’m onto a short week before the Thanksgiving holiday! MQT season XIII finale vibes, that’s for sure. I had a really fun and totally unexpected weekend. But I’m heading back down to Muskegon to stay with my parents for a week or so, and I’m excited to see friends & do Friendsgiving & maybe a little shopping & to see Winny pup & to grab some favorite foods in Grand Rapids. December is already filling up fast with fun holiday plans and I’m excited to just end this year on the best possible note. What a year full of learning & self-growth & all the things. Okay, I’m off! I have a couple of posts coming from the Keweenaw… and then I think autumn content will be wrapped! 🍂
