Golden Hour at Wetmore

Hiiiiii! Alright, moving back into some UP posts. I’ve been really slacking on the blog and Instagram lately, but I don’t know. It’s been okay to sort of take a step back this summer and focus on some other things. I’ve had a lot going on. I moved down into basement level of the house I was staying in the last 8 months which was an adjustment, spent 10 days down in Grand Rapids/Rockford area, took a trip to Sault Ste. Marie that I’ll be blogging soon, have been focusing on my health/fitness and cooking meals and getting out to run 4x a week, I brought my bike up so I’ve been riding my bike a lot, just… a lot of that kind of stuff! But summer is truckin’ along, I’ve been getting out to golden hour lots (which is such a healing thing for me) and one of my favorite spots is Wetmore Landing! (Except it was muggy AF this day and my hair was *not* happy. 😂)

But yeah… this day was like a strange weird COLD muggy (hence the cardigan), and I was having a turbulent week because my basement room was super damp and my life is just generally a hot mess. But I got a dehumidifier, hung some things on the walls, got organized, put together a dresser to store clothes, got into a routine with cooking and exercising, and felt like an entirely new woman. Hahaha. Breathe, Tieky, breathe! Life will work out how it’s supposed to! It’s been super great for my soul to be here in Marquette though. This place is truly just so incredibly special to me. I don’t know if I talk about that enough here (I rave and rave about it on Instagram) but oof. This town has my whole heart. 🤍
