Black Rocks

Hello from Black Rocks! This is one of my favorite spots in Marquette. It’s located in the Presque Isle State Park, which is a large peninsula just north of town. Black Rocks is a “Marquette staple” — the spot where you see most pictures of people jumping off the 10-15 foot cliffs. If you’re visiting the area, this is a must-visit, no matter the season!

Presque Isle Harbor Breakwater Light

I was so excited when I found out you can pretty much walk out to the Presque Isle Harbor Breakwater Light along the breakwater on a very easy to navigate path, until you hit the breakwater rocks. Those are bit more tricky, and I attempted to scale a few, but it was interesting in these sandals. So I waited, but I’ll def be back out here at some point in sneaks scaling this breakwater to reach the lighthouse.

Summer weekend in Marquette

Here’s my full post from our amazing ladies summer weekend in Marquette, Michigan! This was a quick trip… we headed up on Friday from Grand Rapids (about a 6.5 hour drive) and got there to spend Friday night, Saturday all day, and Sunday before heading back home. So this is our ~2 day itinerary of all the places we visited, ate, and drank at! It was the best weekend.
