We're so close to the end of winter... I'm counting the days! I've been kind of bored lately, to be honest. I think it's just a mix of cabin fever, wanting to travel, but being a grown up and sticking to what I said I was going to do... not travel, pay off debt, and save money. So, we're doing that, and I'm so proud of that, but I've also been feeling blah lately. I think that just comes with this time of the year anyway, but yeah, I'm excited for spring and all the fun that brings! We can visit the tulip fields, take small day trips, and get outta the house without spending very much money at all. I'm looking forward to it, that's for sure.

Can you believe we're pretty much done with February? I'm so pumped. February is my least favorite month (second to January) but this February has just been weird. In some ways, I feel like I made progress (finding my aesthetic and personal style) and other ways I just totally tanked (eating healthy and exercising). I'll chat more about this in my small goals post coming up, but yeah. The weather was so strange this month (super warm 60º weather and then snow the next weekend) and for some reason the days just felt SO long, but somehow now we only have one day left of the month. Phew, this week is flying by. It's one of those weeks where you feel like you haven't had a second to sit and gather your thoughts, you know? We've just been busy! It's been good, and I really do like being busy, but I haven't been able to catch up on This Is Us yet or spend any time just vegging out! This weekend, I have zero plans, which is amazing. Happy Monday! Did you all have a good weekend? We really did... but on the other hand, it was just a strange weekend. I mean, we live in Michigan. February should mean blizzards, and below 0º temperatures, and huddling up indoors with Netflix and your coziest blanket. But not this February weekend... we were out and about enjoying the sunshine and 60º temps, grabbing iced coffee, riding with the windows down, heading to the beach to walk the pier with Winny, and only wearing a light jacket instead of our usual fur-hooded parkas! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love this weather, it just feels wrong to love it right now, if that makes any sense at all.

Did you guys have a good Valentine's Day? We were supposed to cook a meal at home, but I got out of work a little bit late, and Eric was playing a show later, so we decided to head out to dinner. Nothing fancy! We grabbed some sandwiches and salads. I'm trying so hard to stay on my healthy kick, even though I'm not seeing the results I was hoping for so far. It's a slow process, and it only gets slower the older I get, that's for sure. But! The key is not giving up, so today is always my start over day and that's exactly what I'm doing. Begin again, and again, if you have to!
