Lyon Street Cafe

Hi guys! I'm finally coming back from the dead. If you didn't know, I had a wisdom tooth out two Thursdays ago and it was the worst and most brutal process ever. On Sunday, when you're "supposed" to be getting better, I had one of my worst days. I couldn't sleep because the pain was so bad, so I'd just lay in bed and cry. Poor Eric had no idea what to do. Haha! So I went back to the oral surgeon, and they said I had dry socket AND it was infected. I took a week's worth of antibiotics that did pretty much nothing. So I went back in Friday, and was put on stronger antibiotics and I seem to be reacting better to those. I'm still super sore and my jaw aches, but man, I'm miles better than last week! So, I was really happy to head out and do a few things with Eric today. I have such cabin fever. Even binge-watching Hart of Dixie and playing hours-on-end of the Sims4 couldn't save me this week!

So I got ready today and told Eric that I just needed to "get out of the house". So we decided to stop over and check out Lyon Street Cafe. I had never been there before, and it was adorable! It was super packed, and we couldn't find a seat, so we grabbed vanilla and mocha lattes to enjoy outside (it's been 50º this weekend!) but I loved it. I'd definitely go back and work there. It's right by Martha's and Nantucket Bakery too! Such a cute little corner in that neighborhood.

After enjoying our lattes, we headed out to get my car washed, to Horrock's to pick up a new succulent (for my growing collection) and some root beers. Then we strolled Old Navy, I picked up a cute ivory sweater... and we took a walk through World Market. I think it was maybe the first time I've left there without purchasing something! I'm obsessed with that store. We grabbed a quick bite at The Winchester, and it was delicious. They have a few new things on the menu, and I'd highly recommend the fritters!

But yeah, it was so good to get outside and experience a little bit of real life today. I've literally put off everything (and everyone, sorry friends) because of this week. I'm excited to start cooking, working out, making plans and living life again! Spring is coming, and we definitely got a little taste of it this weekend. I loved it. After this week, just like that... February will be over! March is always exciting because of daylight saving time beginning, and the first day of spring. I'm so looking forward to it. :)
