THE TULIP FIELDS IN HOLLAND
One of my favorite spring traditions is visiting the tulips in Holland in the western part of lower Michigan. They’re on track to bloom early May during Tulip Time… so be sure to plan your visit! I’d recommend checking out Veldheer Tulip Gardens or Windmill Island Gardens. They’re both magical spots with rows and rows of tulips to enjoy.
A WEEKEND IN ESCANABA
Looking for a spring adventure in the UP? Check out the Escanaba area! A cozy stay at Nahma Inn, fish fry at Swallow Inn, check out the Peninsula Point Lighthouse, dine at Swedish Pantry and Freshwater Tavern, wine tasting at Northern Sun Winery & Leigh’s Garden, see the Sand Point Light, and check out Fayette Historic State Park!
spring in downtown muskegon
Let’s visit my hometown… Muskegon, Michigan! Head downtown for beautiful blooms in spring at the Monet Garden, grab a latte from Aldea Coffee or Coffee Factory, check out the historic homes downtown like the Scolnik House and the Hackley and Hume historic site, and grab a beer at Unruly Brewing!
Harlow Lake is one of my favorite spots to visit this time of year… because I know the color pops here earlier! Or at least you can get a glimpse of it earlier! But colors are definitely starting to change in the Upper Peninsula. All the cozy fall vibes.
