Little Presque Isle
End of autumn vibes! 🍂 I really love November. Like… obviously October is the best autumn month, but it’s also just… so busy, every year. And you feel this immense pressure to get all the things done because of peak color, and then there’s this guilt if you want to take a nap on a sunny day, where November… most of the color is gone, there’s less pressure, you can just enjoy the last bit of autumn and take it slow. That’s my thought, anyway. But! I recently I took a drive out to Little Presque Isle. We had some really mild November weather in the Upper Peninsula this year. So this day was so lovely, overcast, warm, and I stayed out for golden hour quite a long time… with a little bit of color holding on yet!
I’m sort of thinking about what’s next for Selective Potential, or if I just want to keep it as it is. Collaborations and monetization has slowed way down (which is totally fine, this was always meant to be a fun hobby) but just trying to figure out… what’s worth it to keep going? I finally abandoned my Facebook page, engagement was low, and I started posting more on TikTok, so I was like… one of the platforms needs to go. 😆 It’s too much sometimes. But I just wonder about this blog. Like… are people still reading blogs? What’s most requested? My personal style content? My Michigan travel content? I don’t know. Maybe I put out a poll or something soon to see what the readers want!
Otherwise, not much is really new in my world. Sort of in the “transition” phase of… having a super busy summer/autumn to a slow period to… anticipating plans and busyness over the holidays. I’m working on some content outside of Selective Potential, which has been fun. And doing a lot of creative endeavors with friends! No major travel plans or anything coming up. I’ll be here mostly through the new year, bouncing downstate a couple of times for Christmas plans. But then… January/February will be full winter mode here, and then I’m wondering if maybe I travel outside of Michigan a bit in March? We’ll see. Alright. See ya soon! xo
