Favorite dress

Happy Monday! I was sort of ready to get going in a new week today. Weird, I know. We had such a beautiful spring day on Friday (when I was stuck at work) and then it rained all weekend long, which was kind of a bummer! I really do love rain in spring though... April showers bring May flowers! Can you believe we're approaching April this weekend already? Phew! March was a really good month. I feel accomplished even though I didn't hit all of my goals, and we're just inching closer and closer to continuous warmth and sunshine. Can't complain about that! But let's talk about more important things... like my new favorite dress.

So when I started researching my personal style a bit more, I came across a few online boutiques that are hitting the nail on the head for me. Like, I haven't felt this excited about clothes since my blogging glory days in 2010. To name a few boutiques... Piper & Scoot, Roolee, and Recks & Relle. Once I started narrowing down my color scheme and vibe, I found that most of these boutiques had almost everything I would wear. Feminine, earthy tones, girl-next-door vibes, with a slight boho twist. That's where I'm at right now. So I've been stalking this dress for... a while. Definitely since Superbowl Sunday when I discovered Piper & Scoot (yes, I shop during football) and I was seriously overjoyed when it came back in stock. I immediately purchased! I had a hard time choosing between blush and navy, but I thought the navy might transition better to autumn/winter next year. I'm in LOVE.

I'm almost done with my closet overhaul though! I've been insanely inspired by Un-Fancy lately. I'm obsessed with her closet tour, and really want my wardrobe to have a similar vibe in terms of choices. This past weekend, I made a mini loungewear capsule based on one of her posts, and I already feel so much more "put together" while I'm hanging at home. I had all of the right pieces, but it was cluttered by super old, ratty things I've had for forever. Some days I'd wear these way-too-big-on-me plaid pants, a baby blue thermal I stole from Eric's closet, and bright red fuzzy socks. Like, sure, comfy. But I felt like a total slob and would be embarrassed if anyone stopped over. Between Eric and I (yes, I organized his entire closet too... I'm on a roll!) we have over six giant bins of stuff to donate. I'm so excited! And my closet IG sale is still going on... so be sure to head over and bid if you had your eye on something! It ends tomorrow at 11pm EST!

Okay, I've chatted your ear off, so I'm going to go on and head to bed now. Do my usual scroll through Pinterest, catch up on blogs, and watch an episode of something. I'm really into the decades documentaries on Netflix right now. I watched all of The Eighties, and now I'm back in The Sixties. You should check them out! Oh! Eric and I are also super into Sun Records on CMT right now. Super fun! Now I want to plan a trip to Memphis. Okay, now I'm really rambling. Off I go! Have a great Tuesday! xo
