Muted yellows

Hello, June! I fell off the earth a little bit at the end of May after getting my goal of eight blog posts up in just a couple short weeks. Haha. Ugh. You win, then you lose, then you win again, right?! Well the major news is that it’s starting to finally feel consistently warm here in Michigan and I’m having all the summer vibes right now. This past weekend was super fun — lots of friend time and sunshine! We had a “We Didn’t Start the Fire” party on Friday to celebrate the apartment being back to normal-ish, haha. We grilled out, had a bon fire, drank too much fireball sangria and smoky old fashioneds. I woke up Saturday morning to the stickiest, smokiest kitchen. 😂 It was super fun though. Now I’m just excited for the next three months. June/July/August are always what I consider summer, even if it doesn’t officially start for another few weeks. I’m here for it nowww! ☀️

So I realize this is the third outfit post in a row wearing these jeans. Am I the worst fashion blogger ever? Or maybe the best for showing different ways to style these? I haven’t figured it out yet. I never will. 10 years later. Hahaha. But I stopped to H&M to try and pick up a dress or two (since I’m always stuck in jeans these days) and I found a cute black button up one, and spotted this cute sweater tank for $12.99! So I picked this up, and love the retro 70’s-ish vibes with the wide leg jeans and clogs. Not sure exactly what my style this summer will be yet. Last summer, I LIVED in high-waisted mom jeans and Madewell wrap tops. While I still love those things, not sure what my go-to outfit is yet. I know I want to pick up more dresses though — that’s a goal, for sure!

Well, not much else is new! I’m just excited for summer. They’re finally fixing the outside of our fire house, so that process is moving along. Not a ton of trips planned this summer — sticking close to home mostly! Lots of events/things planned. I booked a trip to the upper peninsula (my favorite place on earth) and I’m looking forward to exploring a whole new area. I’m headed to the Manistique/Escanaba area — so if you have any tips/recommendations, let me know! There are four lighthouses I haven’t seen yet and I’m so excited. It’s been a little bit since I’ve seen a new lighthouse, which is shocking, I know! Out of 121 or however many, I’ve seen 62 — so I’m only halfway there! Lots of trips to plan! What are you looking forward to this summer? Any fun plans?! xo
