Golden hour on Sixth Street Bridge

Well April is coming to a close! What a weird month, right? I have a feeling the whole summer is just going to be “weird”. But honestly, I’m just enjoying the small things currently about this season of life. I wanted to take photos here, because this bridge is just sort of symbolic to me right now. I run across it all the time on my usual running route, and I don’t know. It just gives me peace for some reason. It’s hard to explain. I always get a “high” when I hit this part of my run. But I’m just sort of living for the small things right now… like running along the river, cooking meals at home, all the wine, windows open when it’s raining, candles burning, seeing the trees in bloom. It’s all so fleeting, right? I might as well enjoy pieces of this life while it’s here.

But yeah, this golden hour was perfect. It was so pretty outside. So many of my favorite memories are within this one part of the day. It’s legit like I come alive during this hour, hahaha. Ugh, I know I’m being weird today. 🤣 Anyway, another simple outfit! I’m loving these bodysuits from Madewell. The wrap ones are my fave, but I also just picked up a tee version and a tank version for summer. I’m excited to pair the tank one with some wide leg jeans + cute sandals! The weather is finally looking up in Michigan, after winter in late April… which is my least favorite thing. Snow in November and April, ugh. But it’s looking like spring, it’s currently raining outside, which I love! Everything is in bloom, the days are getting longer and longer. I’m excited for summer; even if it just means spending more time outside.

I’ll be back in May… going to try and get out to find some flowers/trees to take photos with, while social distancing of course. I’m curious to see what this month brings in terms of change with that. It’s all just sort of a weird guessing game right now. I’m just focusing in on my goals to keep me busy. I just hit my fastest 5K yesterday, which felt amazing. I hit a huge weight milestone today (down to 30 pounds loss again, at my goal weight) but I’m going to keep WW in loss-mode for a couple more weeks to give myself a little buffer, before I switch over to “maintain” mode. I crushed the budget in April, lol, because I literally spend all of my money on dining out and drinking, which I can’t do anymore. So I think May is going to be another good month for my goals. I don’t care what anyone says about not having “goals” during this time; they are saving me and giving me something to look forward to and accomplish. That’s where I’m living my life currently. Fight me, otherwise. 😆
