I'm so excited to announce that I'm Ruche's April Ruchette of the Month! I've been secretly working with them on a really fun collaboration (coming Thursday!), and I cannot wait to share. To coincide with the upcoming feature, they asked if I'd do an interview with them on their blog. I was more than thrilled! I've been a long time fan of Ruche. When they told me I was one of the inspirations behind their Rustic Ruchette, I was over the moon. Plus, it's been a dream to work with and meet so many of the people behind the company. Seriously, the biggest hearts. Their write-up before my interview made me melt! Be sure to head over and check that out, along with a few words on why style is important to me, what it means to me to #LiveBeautifully and why I love being a Ruchette. And stay tuned for Thursday! ;)
Happy Friday! I just wanted to hop in quick to let you guys know of some fun events coming up, and some "news" items. I apologize for the major lack of updates this week. It's been over 90 degrees every day and we just had Internet set up in our apartment last night. 19 days of no Internet for a blogger is a huge nightmare! So, now I'm back in business. I'm taking a fun day trip tomorrow with Eric. I'm excited to share posts! But in the meantime...
Minnetonka's 2013 Summer Blogger Look Book launched today! Be sure to head over there and check it out. I'm so thrilled to be included with some amazing gals. Everyone's pictures turned out amazing + I love how it all came together! They also have a Spotify playlist where everyone picked a few of their favorite summer roadtrip songs. It should be on their Facebook now, if not soon!
For any east side Michigan gals, I'd love to invite you to a private shopping party at Madewell that I'm hosting on Saturday, July 27th! It's at The Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan from 11:00 - 2:00pm. Join us for shopping, cocktails, sweets and a special discount! I'll be on hand for one-on-one styling advice and would love to meet some of you. Eric will be there snappin' tons of pics!
A few other tidbits:
- I just did an interview with ShopAtHome.com! Be sure to check it out.
- Minnetonka is also doing a Summer Photo Contest on Facebook. You can upload your summer snapshots (in your favorite pair of Minnetonka mocs, boots or sandals) for the chance to win a Canon EOS 60D camera and a $100 gift card for minnetonkamoccasin.com. You can read more details here!
- Are you a Michigan blogger or gal interested in fashion/blogging/networking? Shoot me a note with your name, email, blog + city! I'm hosting a fall fashion soiree in Grand Rapids and would love to invite you!
- If any of you are headed to the Texas Style Council Conference, I'll be there with Minnetonka and hosting a workshop on Media Kit Creation. It should be a fun hour + I'm excited to meet everyone! The workshop is on Saturday, August 3rd during Session Seven, which is 3:00-4:00pm.
Things are busy, but good! Have a great weekend!
If you guys remember, I flew to Houston last month for a quick photo shoot with Francesca's Collections! It was so much fun and I had a blast getting to know Julianne, Brian and their team. I was able to explore a little bit of Houston, indulge in some of the city's best food, and spend a fun day getting pretty and taking photos! It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. Thank you, Francesca's!
Here are some behind-the-scenes photos of my day with them. It was such a treat to have someone else do my hair, makeup and styling. Can I have that everyday? Also, be sure to head over to their website and see my giant smiling face! I was so excited to see my feature on their homepage. You can also check out their blog to read a little interview I did with them. Have a great weekend!
I'm so excited to have been featured in the summer issue of Momentum Magazine! Momentum Magazine is a cycling magazine that focuses on an urban lifestyle. It's a great magazine for everything you need to know about smart living by bike. I'd definitely recommend picking up a copy, plus I love that they feature style bloggers! I was thrilled to be on the glossy pages alongside Elsie of A Beautiful Mess (a huge inspiration!)
As you guys know, I recently collaborated with ModCloth on styling the gorgeous Eva Franco What A Debut dress! They just put a round-up of bloggers styling Eva Franco dresses on their blog and I wanted to share. I'm so excited because these are three of my favorite ladies! I'm super proud to be up on the ModCloth blog with them. Be sure to check it out!
