Veldheers Tulip Farm

This past weekend, Eric and I decided to brave Tulip Time to check out Veldheers Tulip Farm in Holland, Michigan! I haven't been to this farm in a few years, so I was excited to check it out again. Veldheers is Holland's only tulip farm, and perennial garden. In 1950, Vern Veldheer, started a garden with 100 red tulips and 300 white tulips. Today they have over 5.5 million tulips! With rows and rows of beautiful color, it's picture perfect this time of year.

We checked out several of the tulips, and said hello to the American Buffalo they have on their farm! They have 19 bison, including Tacoma, who is their 14-year-old bull who is over six feet tall and weighs nearly 3,600 pounds. To keep him company, they have 13 females that are all trying to win his love and attention. Haha! They were a little shy though, so we only captured a few pictures from afar.

After exploring the farm, we ventured to downtown Holland to check out a little bit of Tulip Time. We stopped into Frances Jaye to do a little shopping, and then went for an elephant ear. It was honestly a bit chilly though, especially with the lakeshore wind, so we didn't end up staying too long. My goal is go back this week to check out Dutch Village, and maybe a few more tulips. I can't get enough! It's just so pretty in Holland this time of year.

I recently purchased this dress from the Ruche closing sale, which makes me a bit sad. I loved shopping there! But at least I have this pretty red scalloped dress to remember them by. I believe this is the exact same dress, but I'm not totally certain. Very very similar, if not the exact one. I also finally purchased this denim vest after looking at it every single Old Navy trip. I have a lot of cute dresses this will pair well with this spring!

Why fit in, when you were born to stand out?
