Presque Isle Cliffs

How am I just realizing… I’ve never taken photos in this exact spot before? It’s wild! It’s such a magical spot in Marquette, on Presque Isle where I’ve taken a thousand outfit photos, but never this exact spot. Well, almost five years later of living here… here we are. The east facing cliffs of Presque Isle. You can access this spot via car when the drive is open, and if you park along the side just beyond where the lookout/boardwalk view is, you’ll find a tiny path, that’ll take you right to this spot. Stunning. Vast views of Lake Superior, the Presque Isle Breakwater Lighthouse, cliffs, and if you head there early enough, a sunrise view. It was gorgeous and breezy when I was out there. I had some people staring at me from the overlook likely wondering if I was going to fall off the edge (don’t do that when you’re here lol) and then I made my trek to the other side to see the sunset.

It’s finally feeling like summer a bit here in the Upper Peninsula! We had a small heat wave over 4th of July (which was lovely and sticky and a total vibe), but the in-between has been a mix of rain, and 60-degree weather, I felt like I was in a time warp, like is it summer? Is it not? What do I do? I can’t go to the beach but I also can’t go scope out fall colors? Hahaha, I don’t know, plus it all just went by in a weird blink of an eye. I can’t believe we’re at the end of July. But! It’s going to be a fun end to the month… I have my half marathon which I’ve been training for since April. I’m trained, ready to go, but definitely a little nervous. Just hoping I don’t get a cramp, which happened last year and those just suck ass to run through. And it’s also Blueberry Festival in town, and then my birthday, aaaand a very hectic August with family and friends coming to visit, travels downstate, all of it. Exciting though!

Keeping my style casual these days, still can’t break the jeans run, I just love jeeeeaaaannnnss! Especially these new ribcage ones from Levi’s, I was a wedgie-fit girl and now I think I’m a ribcage girl. I also decided to trek over to Escanaba for the day last weekend just to… do a little shopping, they have a Marshalls lol so I picked up a few tops there, grabbed an iced-coffee, read my book in the park, saw the lighthouse, got wings. But I got this side-tie top which is linen and perfect for summer and super cute. I’ve tried everywhere to find it online but no-go, but it’s Rachel Zoe? Anyway. Jeans, any sort of crop-ish top, and sandals. That’s my summer uniform so far. But again, I live in the UP and it’s mostly been in the 60s/70s so far this summer, lol. 80s this weekend might be a heat stroke. 😆 Ok ok, I’m off. xoxo
