Wetmore Landing

Two winter posts in a weeeeek!? Who is she! I wasn’t actually planning on blogging recently, but it helps when you have fun winter adventures with your photog boyfriend who is so freaking good at taking photos, so here we are! It was super sunny out yesterday, still in the 20s, but… I knew we had to get out for a little bit to enjoy some winter scenery, and to feel better about couch rotting for the rest of the day. 😆 So we headed out to Wetmore Landing to take a little walk through the woods and out to Lake Superior, which is frozen for as far as your eye can see in these photos at least! It’s really wonderful to be having a legit winter this year. We needed it. I’m excited for February… a little bit longer of days, wintry events, and excited to take a little trip to the Keweenaw in a few weeks too!

Pulled some clothes out of the archive for this blog post! I really haven’t been buying anything new recently… was inspired by an outfit I wore three years ago, but never did a blog post on, so decided to recreate that a bit. But yeah, same ol’ Carhartt hat, ribcage Levi’s, not much changes these days. 😆 I honestly don’t even know where I like to shop anymore, to be honest. But staying warm and cozy is what’s most important right now, I’ll probably get excited about personal style in spring again… spring and fall, those are just my two favorite seasons to blog personal style.

Alright… that’s all! Not much else to update on. January was a good month, but excited it’s over too. It was just so long, but it was nice. I really leaned into winter hibernation vibes, staying in, cooking meals at home, not spending much money, working out a few times a week in the gym, doing a Dry January, and… completing the January Cure (which is an apartment challenge of cleaning/resetting). All traditional January things. But it was fun to go out this weekend and have the first cocktail since New Year’s Eve! Ate delicious small plates at Delft and danced to Bumpus and actually put makeup on, hahaha. Also, thank you Elliot for the wonderful photos. 😘❄️
