I headed to a go-to spot I visit for golden hour often — Clark Lambros. It’s a wonderful beach/park right on Lake Superior and perfect for freighter watching.

I just felt like getting out of the house, and I love a tradition of “Fish Fry Fridays” so I was like… I’ll take a drive to Big Bay, see what photo opps are along the way (always excited to spot a log stack!), golden hour at the beach, and then go to Thunder Bay Inn for fish fry!
Read MoreI make the drive from Marquette to Iron Mountain often, because one of my best friends lives there. About halfway from Marquette to Iron Mountain is a little town called Channing. Blink and you’ll miss it, but it has this cute historic railroad station… and these train-cars filled with logs!

The laughter, the fun, the tears, the healing, all the moments that got me here to where I am right now. I’m so grateful life brought me here.
